BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge with Back to Basics

Splinterlands has changed its Share your battle challenge to BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge. So now battle focus change from monsters to ruleset and this week's ruleset is Back to Basics. In this ruleset monsters lose all abilities. As in this battle all Monsters not get any extra advantage from summoner or any other extra ability so this is very fair battle for me. I used "Baakjira" as tank card having 12 health with void / slow and strengthen ability so this card is very strong on tank position but in this battle his health is a strong point as cards abilities are not working. In this battle I used all magic ability cards with high health. This battle was low mana 26 so I decided to use some strong back line cards. This battle was water vs earth summoners.

1. All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor.

2. All Monsters start the battle Poisoned.

3. Monsters lose all abilities.

As battle was low mana so I only fill 3 spots and I decided to use strong magic attack cards with high health. I used "Baakjira" as tank with 12 health and void / slow / strengthen ability. On 2nd position I used "Djinn Oshannus" 2 magic attack and 11 health with void / phase ability. On 3rd position I used "Nerissa Tridawn" 3 magic attack and 9 health. I am very happy with my team and if my tank card survives then my other cards will destroy the enemy team monsters. Let’s discuss my team one by one.

Baakjira

I used Baakjira Legendary Water Unit as a tank card. This card has 12 health with void / slow and strengthen ability. I used this card on tank position in all low mana fights as reduce magic attack affect, this card also reduce speed of all enemy monsters and also increase one health of all friendly monsters. As in this battle no ability is working so this card health is a strong point. This card is very helpful with slow and void ability in all mana fights it is the best choice for tank card.

Djinn Oshannus

On 2nd position I used Djinn Oshannus Legendary Water Unit with triage ability. I always use this card in all mana fights because of 2 magic attacks and 11 health with void and phase ability. As in this battle no ability works so this card strong because of his health. Hope this card could do maximum damage to tank monsters card.

Nerissa Tridawn

On 3rd position I used Nerissa Tridawn Epic Water Unit. This card has 3 magic attacks with 9 health and very helpful in poison mode battle. I always used this card as my back line card in this ruleset.

So my strategy in this battle was very simple as in this battle I only have three monsters cards but my attack power is strong.My all hopes lied on my tank card "Baakjira" as this card health is very high. If my tank card survives some rounds then hope my other cards could eliminate enemy's tank and other monster cards. My magic attack monster back line cards are very strong and they can do some damage to enemy tank cards. I think in this battle my tank card performed well and hoped "Baakjira" survive some rounds and my other two cards eliminate enemy monster cards. Also hoped that my cards could not miss any attack and did proper damage to enemy monsters. Overall my entire back line cards did 5 magic attack damage to enemy team. This battle lasted for 4 rounds.

My strategy paid off and my all cards performed well. Our today's battle challenge with "Back to Basics" successfully completed and I lose only my tank card in this battle. In this battle poison ruleset also contributed a lot. My cards survived thanks to high health. I liked this new change of weekly battle challenge from monsters to ruleset, so we can learn some new methods, how to tackle enemy in any ruleset. You can watch this battle on My Battle link.
