BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge with Armored Up

Splinterlands has changed its Share your battle challenge to BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge. So now battle focus change from monsters to ruleset and this week's ruleset is Armored Up that is easy and also requires some basic understanding of cards used in battle. In this ruleset all friendly monsters get a +2 armor at the beginning of the game. As in this battle only Monsters with Ranged attack may be used so I decided to use all ranged attack monsters with high health. I used "Zyvax Vuul" as tank card having 9 health with flying / recharge and close range ability so this card effected on tank position. In this battle I used one blast ability card and one triage ability card which heal back line monsters on every turn. This battle was low mana 21 so I decided to use some strong back line cards. This battle was fire vs dragon summoners.

1. All Monsters start the battle Poisoned.

2. Only Monsters with Ranged attack may be used in battles.

3. All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor.

As battle was low mana so I only fill 4 spots and I decided to use back line cards healer and blast ability cards that can attack enemy monster. I used "Zyvax Vuul" as tank with 3 ranged attack, 9 health and recharge / close range ability. On 2nd position I used "Angelic Mandarin" 2 ranged attack and 6 health with triage ability. On 3rd position I used "Fire Spitter" 3 ranged attack and 5 health. On 4th position I used "Pirate Archer" 1 ranged attack and 3 health with blast ability. I am very happy with my team and if my tank card survives then my other cards will destroy the enemy team monsters. Let’s discuss my team one by one.

Zyvax Vuul

I used Zyvax Vuul Legendary Dragon Unit as a tank card. This card has 3 ranged attack and 9 health with flying / recharge / close range ability. I used this card on tank position in all mana fights when battle restricted to only ranged attack monsters used in battle. This card is very helpful with recharge / close range ability in all mana fights it is the best choice for tank card in ranged attack battles.

Angelic Mandarin

On 2nd position I used Angelic Mandarin Rare Water Unit with triage ability. I always use this card in all mana fights because of 2 ranged attacks and 6 health with triage ability. Hope this card could heal my back line monsters on every turn.

Fire Spitter

On 3rd position I used Fire Spitter Epic Dragon Unit. This card has 3 ranged attacks with 5 health and very helpful in earthquake mode. I always used this card as my back line card.

Pirate Archer

On 4th position, I used Pirate Archer Rare Water Unit. This card has 1 ranged attack and 3 health but this card's blast ability is very strong. So hope this card perform well and do maximum damage to tank card and enemy monster card on 2nd position.

So my strategy in this battle was very simple as in this battle only ranged attack monsters use so my all hopes lied on my tank card "Zyvax Vuul" as only card has close range ability. If my tank card survives some rounds then hope my other cards could eliminate enemy's monsters. My triage and blast ability cards are very strong so they can do some damage to enemy tank cards and also heal my back line cards. I think in this battle my healer card performed well and hoped "Angelic Mandarin" could heal on every turn. Also hoped that my cards could not miss any attack and did proper damage to enemy monsters. Overall my entire back line cards did 6 ranged attack damage to enemy team. This battle lasted for 3 rounds.

My strategy paid off and my all cards performed well. Our today's battle challenge with "Armored Up" successfully completed without losing any card. In this battle poison ruleset also contributed a lot. My cards survived thanks to high health and triage heal ability. I liked this new change of weekly battle challenge from monsters to ruleset, so we can learn some new methods how to tackle enemy in any ruleset. You can watch this battle on My Battle link.
