My Actifit Report Card: June 4 2021

I rode my e-bike over to the eighteen hole disc golf course and played a couple of rounds. I started out by myself but met a friend who was playing by himself after a few holes. We started playing together around hole seven.

There was a big group of four people kind of crowding us from behind. Usually if it is a single player we will let them play through but we were playing close to the same pace. We had to slow down a lot for walkers and some older people playing some type of geocaching thing. It looked like they were having fun finding things in the hollow trees.

The guys behind us were throwing discs real close to us and not giving us any warning. Usually is it customary to wait for people to play through a bit before unloading a volley or at least yelling a FORE!. The course has been getting very popular so there are a lot of people to watch out for.

As we were walking along the path a disc dropped very close to my friend. It was overthrown and way off course even for a windy day. I guess my friend was a bit disturbed because he muttered something like, "these guys don't know what they are doing" and he kicked the disc over a few feet into the tall grass.

It was not a solution I would have personally taken, LOL, but it was rather effective. After that they were not crowding us anymore. I do hope they eventually found the disc.

Back on hole one another friend joined up with us and we played another full round together. I ended up with the win with a +1 score. It felt like a very good round for me considering the wind.

It was a very nice temperature today and it felt good to be playing in short pants. Thankfully it was not as hot as it was a few days ago. My friend said it took him some time to get over some dehydration from that day.

As I was leaving a couple of guys were teeing off on hole one and started a converstion. Apparently they recognized me from playing on the course before. I did not recognize them but I'm pretty bad about not wearing my glasses most of the time and not paying so much attention to things.

They were very complimentary about my e-bike, t-shirt and disc golf bag and wanted to know what my favorite disc was. I told them the Insanity disc was my new favorite at the moment and had just ordered a couple more of them.

It is a very fun sport to meet new people and get out in nature.
