My Actifit Report Card: June 2 2022
My friend and I played a couple of new to us disc golf courses today. I had a really rough time on the first eighteen-hole round that we played and scored a +22 on it. My friend won the round with a +18 score.
On hole two I had a tough time on a 423-foot hole through the woods and took eight throws on a par 3. Once you are off the fairway it is hard to recover and I made the mistake of trying to throw too far off the tee and hit a nearby tree.
The course was really fun but we were both very tired out from walking up and down the hills. I think that next time I play this course I can do better.
The nice thing about the course was that it was well maintained and it was easy for us to find our discs even in the woods. The less nice things were that It was very wet and the footing was difficult if you landed anywhere sloping. The fairways were very tight and tree kicks could be very punishing. Still, I would like to play the course again sometime.
The second nine-hole course that we played was pretty easy. We played all but the last two holes. We were both tired and there was a family with a bunch of kids running all over by the last two baskets so we skipped the holes and left.
It would be a fun easy course to play if you were in town but we both felt like it would not be worth the drive to play it again.

I like the raised baskets.. that "fairway" looks pretty rough though

The basket looks so beautiful, around it is a big forest.
I know that has to be fun to try new courses. I can imagine how being nicely maintained would make it a better experience too.
... and wow, that last photo, can't imagine how hard it would be to traverse that area with a disc.
