My Actifit Report Card: September 4 2022
I had a good round of disc golf at the first week of the disc golf league today. I scored +5 over par which on this course is about 850 rated. I missed about three putts that I know I could have made if I was not so worried about it.
On the one hand you hate to miss putts in a tournament but on the other hand at least I was throwing drives well enough to get there for a chance at a putt. This week I am going to concentrate on putting in some extra practice at the short distance putts. I think it will help my mental game if I know that I can run a putt without worrying so much about a miss or a roll-away.
My son scored a +4 which was not such a good score for the division he was playing in. It was a bit lower than his rating. Most of the people playing in his division are around 900 rated. He was throwing really far but unfortunatly finding a lot of out-of bounds penalties.
It was rather windy today and we were all struggling a bit with the conditions. There is some very light rain this evening as I am writing this. As the season progresses the weather is going to be more of a factor.
I thinking about seeing if I can find some type of method to help my grip in the wet weather. There are some products out there I'm thinking about trying. Maybe even some bees wax might help the wet weather grip.

Baby Spiders everywhere, I remember one year they hatched on my car door handle……. thousands of baby spiders everywhere Lol!!!😳
A score of +5 and a rating of around 850 seems pretty good. We have a lot of rain here since morning. Playing against nature seems very difficult. The baby spider looks so cute.

Spiders.... ugh.... they are all over everything around the porches. Their living environment is about to change !
At first I thought about the cooler fall weather changing their living environment but then I had some visions of another more sinister nature, lol. 😄 This reminds me that I need to clean a few cobwebs around here but the baby spiders are outside so they be alright.
Normally outside, to each their own as long as it isn't a wasp nest near the door....LOL.... but I'm tired of brushing off all their thick webs in every corner, so I plan to make those corners unhealthy for spiders.

Missing putts in a tournament is not a bad thing as it gives way for one to practice more and get perfect more and more. Your son must really be good
Wow, congratulations to the father and son for the first round of today's tournament, hopefully some of today's obstacles can be a new experience and keep practicing so that some of today's mistakes don't happen again and get the best performance

It is a lot of fun to be out there with son and friend. I like the league rounds better than a large tournament but both are fun.
I think the brown looking sack is a spider egg that the little spiders came out of.

It would be fun to get a better macro lens to see if I could get some more details on the small objects. These are so small it is tough to see them.
you have to buy a macro lens in the online market to maximize your taking photos of macro objects using an android phone....

Have you looked into those whale tail bags the pros use..
My son gave me something like those whale bags but it doesn't have a lot of powder left in it. I'm not sure if a new one would work better or not. I might look into a few different options. It is just the wet weather that gets to be more of a problem for me.
I think it is the best, concentration always has positive effects, I go to it, when I do yoga and it gives good results, if so, then concentrate on practicing a little more on short distance putts, if it is convenient for your game mentally, if I know I can make a putt without worrying so much about missing or going wide. You should use it then if you consider that beeswax gives better grip, I really did not know, I hope that next time you will have better results. Successes
Thank you. I do enjoy trying different things and practicing every day. I'm trying to be less attached to the outcome but when you enjoy something you tend to try to do your best at it.
That's right brother, enjoying what one does is the best. You always want to win, but if our game gives us satisfaction in life, it's the best. I share that idea with you, for example, I am not a great expert in yoga, sometimes I even do not do well on hive, in terms of positive evaluations, but it gives me satisfaction and joy that yoga is my passion, that it helps me even with my health and that is the most important thing.
