My Actifit Report Card: October 18 2022
I practice disc golf at the local nine-basket course today. I took several throws on each hole and tested out how my discs flew.
The Glitch disc is not as stable as I initially thought. It is not a disc you can throw well for over a hundred feet. I'm not sure if I will get used to it enough to rely on it for anything that needs a consistent result. Maybe it was just a bit too windy today to be throwing it.
Still, it is fun to try out new plastic and see how the latest disc flies.
I was thinking a bit about the mental aspect of disc golf today. It sure helps if you are happy and joyful when you are playing. I've had a few times when I got frustrated or angry and things went badly.
It seems like that goes for a lot of things. I try to remind myself each day and often ask myself, "are we having fun now?"
I'm wondering a bit if this is my fig tree:

I planted a fig tree a few years ago but it did not seem to survive. I've not seen anything resembling a fig tree for a couple of seasons. I saw this plant in the yard today right where the fig tree used to be. I'm pretty sure it is just wishful thinking to think the fig tree survived but it kind of looks like the same sort of leaf.
I saw a new fig tree down at the store the other day and it reminded me of how much I love fresh figs.

You never know. Maybe it dropped some seeds or it roots have begun to green again. Fingers crossed for you.
It sure seems like it is sprouting up from the roots but it is hard to tell. At this rate it might be awhile before I get any fresh figs though, lol.
I should say. You might have to tent it over the winter.

Thank you. Perhaps it will grow faster next year if it is the fig tree. I'm surprised to see anything growing off of it after seeing it die back so much a few years ago though.
such a great day for you today to be able to practice some throws on disc golf holes at the local nine basket course, although there are some difficulties with the disc you are using but I think with a lot of practice you will get used to it
you played golf practice today even though it was windy you could finish the game with a lot of fun, and I don't know what plant you photographed but it looks very unique especially when edited with cartoon caricatures it looks very cool.
I do enjoy editing the photos sometimes. I'm glad that you liked the editing.

Well, it is either going to be something I can learn to throw with control or something that goes on the shelf. At this point I'm not so sure about how much it will add to my game but I'd like to get more throws in with it. Seeing it glide the way it does is a lot of fun and you can play catch with it.
