My Actifit Report Card: January 1 2023
My friend and I played an eighteen-hole disc golf course on the red tee pads twice today. The course has red, blue, and gold tee pads. The red pads are the easiest. We usually play the blue pads and it was fun to try the easier red pads today. We have never tried the gold tee pads.
I played at a +1 score in the first round and a +9 score in the second. I was getting tired by the second round and was missing a lot of my throws. It does make a difference sometimes on the longer more difficult courses. Sometimes on an easier shorter course, I can play better in the second round because I'm more warmed up.
A +1 score is my personal best on the course and is 8 throws better than before. Of course, this was on the easier red tee pads.

I had no idea about the pads and colors. Sounds like a good day for disc golf and just getting out there is awesome. Especially at this time of year.

Thank you and Happy New Year to you too! I didn't get to see my son much over the holidays he was a bit sick with covid. Maybe I was a bit overly cautious but I was not sure if it would be good to be exposed to it. He did not seem to get all that sick luckily.
The gold pads make the holes longer. We will need to try playing them sometime. Sometimes, my son has an easier time off the longer tees on some courses - it can depend a lot on where they are placed. That has not been the case for me so far but I don't throw nearly as far as he does.
He probably had longer arms. He is younger. I have allowed these things to explain my children's superiority over my physical fitness. :)
Glad to hear he wasn't that sick. He probably has a great immune system too~

It is unusual for us to play twice on this course but there is a tournament coming up that my friend is preparing for that requires a couple of rounds in one day.

The pond photo looks a little desolate in it's winter state.
What is across the top of the eagle? Is it something to keep other birds from landing/sitting on top of it?
Hi! This time of year it does get a bit desolate but at least there are still some green things growing. You know I'm not sure what the screen across the eagle was for. At first guess I thought that maybe it was to protect the carving from damage from discs that were thrown off course. It is not in a place that someone would throw near unless they really had a bad throw through.
Happy playing disc golf today must be very fun because playing with your friends and scoring very well, and the view of the lake disc golf course looks very beautiful and the carved wooden eagle looks very cool.
