My Actifit Report Card: February 12 2023
I had a wonderful tournament round today. The weather was nice for this time of year and I scored a +1 on the eighteen-hole round. I think this is better than or close to my best tournament round on the red tee pads.
Next week we are playing the red/green tee pads or the red course with the green tee pads on the longer par four holes. In the past, I did not like the location and size of the green tee pads but they have made a lot of improvements. I'm looking forward to playing next week.
I ended up getting a new Thought Space Ethos Mantra disc using scrip that I won from past tournaments. So far it seems a bit more stable than the Mantra disc that I lost. It is hard to tell from a couple of throws though.
I lost my Insanity disc on the Blue Course after the tournament. I was trying to figure out a good throw on the long downhill tree-lined approach. I think next time I will try a throwing putter because any tree hits go all over the place and even if you make the initial gap a fairway disc can fade too much. I ended up having my disc fade into a big patch of ferns. I thought I could find it easily but that was not the case. I did end up finding someone else's disc and turned it in at the Pro Shop.
Hopefully, my Insanity disc or Mantra disc will turn up. The people who play at the tournaments are good about returning discs so there is some hope of recovery. Sometimes it takes a few months though.
I lost a couple of understable fairway drivers recently. I tend to lose that type of disc the most although I've had a run of bad luck playing wooded courses.

This mantra is quite special for you, the colour, the finish and the design is very attractive, epic mantra disc ♥️
It flies very nicely and looks good too. I've been liking the new one as much as the one that I lost.
That's actually a cool-looking disc; I like the graphic design that they print on it.
Again, sorry about your lost discs; I hope the people who find them will return them at the Pro shop. But how exactly will you know if it's yours? Is there a name or serial number printed on it to track who's the owner?
These are some of the nicest looking graphic designs on discs. I like having some nice looking discs and that influences my choice of what to throw a bit more that it should sometimes, lol.
Losing a disc once in awhile is kind of a part of the game that you have deal with. I think that is why I like to have a few spares and carry a lot of discs on the course. It is never easy to lose one that you like a lot though. Sometimes they do find there way back to you even months later. (I got my GStar Mamba back after it spent months in the river.)
Usually people put their name and phone number on the disc in case it is found. The Pro shop is good about sending out a text message and keeping it for some time before they resell it.
That's awesome! And it's also good that the Pro shop took the initiative to assist their customers regarding lost and found discs, that's a great service :)

Glad you had a wonderful tournament. Over 17k walks is really massive. For me, I only managed to get about 5k per day.
It is easy to get that much when I am out having fun. I think that so long as I drink enough water it helps a lot. Sometimes I forget and can get cramps if I walk that far.

I don't think I will get the first Mantra disc back but you never know.
The Insanity disc will probably eventually be found and there is a good chance that I might get that disc back someday. It is in an area of a course that is being played more and more so there will be a lot of people looking around.
