My Actifit Report Card: February 24 2023
We played an eighteen-hole course that I had never played before today. It was a bit windy and cold. This made it difficult to score well. I won the round with a +11 score. My friends had +15 and +24.
We all had a great time playing and it was very scenic on the course. There were a few water hazards but they were not deep and should have been easy to recover discs from unless you threw too far out in the pond.
My friend threw his disc into someone's private yard but there was a sign and gate that allowed us to go in and look for it. I managed to find it a bit farther from where we initially thought it landed. The wind must have got under it and carried it. It is so nice for people to allow access to their land like that. My friend was very happy to get his disc back.
It was a bit of a drive but the course was well-maintained and easy to find discs on. It was a nice mix of challenging long holes too.

I would play every day if my body would let me. I think it is better for me to alternate days for a while.
That's so cool! House owners actually allow disc golfers to enter their property to retrieve the discs that ended up on their property. Maybe they understand the players' frustration when they can't get their discs.

We met the house owner and he was really nice. The course used to be a ball golf course that he ran and he converted it into a disc golf course. It seems to be run as a public park now. He had nice things to say about disc golfers and thought it was a good change to make. I'm sure he could have asked for some kind of green fee but the course was free. I thought maybe he sold the land to the city but I am not sure. I was very impressed and happy about it.

Great to see you again playing with good score with your friend. I think some times you need to mention your friend's name. Love the mutual understanding between you people and the whom were you through disc into the yard.
