My Actifit Report Card: July 19 2023

I was tired and sleepy today, so I took a rest day. I thought about playing a short round of disc golf, but it was hot enough on my walk that I decided not to. I think that it is good to take a rest every so often so that your body can recover.

I decided to drop out of a difficult tournament in August. It involved playing two difficult rounds in one day or 36 holes. It was going to be a lot of playing when I'm just getting over an injury, and a tournament round is always more stressful. I am not sure that I could do any better than I did a couple of years ago when I played it. Without having much of a forehand throw, I might not have even done as well as I did before, and other aspects of my game have improved a lot.

I have one tournament in August that I still intend to play. It does not require any distance forehand throws. It should be a lot easier on my arm.

This hole is in the shape of an eagle. The gravel areas play as a hazard. The best play is to land a throw on the rocks or on the area at the top of the wall and pitch up for a birdie. Going past the basket is not out-of-bounds, but it can make for a difficult uphill putt. The hole plays a bit uphill and takes a powerful throw to get over the wall and past the basket.

There is a big tournament this weekend at the disc golf course where I took the above picture. I had signed up for it, too, but withdrew as well, mostly because of my arm. Additionally, it was going to require a lot of travel time to get there.

I think you have made a very good decision because your body has not yet recovered well and you know where your body is at.

it seems like a tiring day for you today, and the hot weather makes us sleepy and suitable for rest, I believe your decision is right to leave the tournament this August, considering that you have not fully recovered
