My Actifit Report Card: August 26 2023
I played a couple of short nine-basket practice disc golf rounds today. I think I was somewhere under par on the easy course but was not keeping score. I was trying out a new disc and learning some discs a bit better.
The new disc was a Thought Space Synapse. It was a twelve speed overstable disc. I like the disc, but I think it is a bit too stable for my arm speed right now. I have a couple of fast over stable discs in my bag, and I don't think I need another one at this time. If I can get a bit more power on my throw, I might be reaching for a few more faster stable discs.
There were a couple of folks playing the course when I rode up on my e-bike, so I joined up with them. I enjoy playing with new people, and most players are open to someone joining up with them.
Apples:
The apples keep falling off the tree almost on a daily basis now. They are almost ripe and will taste better after the first frost. Right now, they have a lot of flavor for being just a bit green.

What a coincidence @lightsplasher today I made a publication of a delicious and nutritious papaya smoothie with apple, in Venezuela the apple is very expensive, while there they even fall from the tree to the ground. All their puck game practices are good training prior to upcoming games. successes.

I really like to eat apples. Is there a plant that can flourish there
Apples and pears grow very nicely around here. I have been tempted to put a pear tree in as well but there is not much room.

It will be a nice crop this year. Next year probably won't be any if the pattern continues.

Your disc golf day sounds like fun! And, it's great that you can experiment with the new Mind Space Synapse disc. Exploring different discs and perfecting your throw is all part of the game. Mingling with other players is also fun, of course. Anyway your description about apples makes me want to taste it, hehe. In my opinion, nothing beats the taste of a freshly dropped apple. Keep having fun in the field and enjoy the taste of autumn to come! 🥏🍎🙏
It is nice to have a lot of fruit and berries to harvest from the yard in the autumn. The weather has been nice although there has been a lot of smoke in the air.

We don't usually have apples here, so it's nice to see apple trees or apple fruits. The plant seems to have yielded quite well. The flowers are truly amazing.

I really like apples. Is the apple in your garden my brother..
as usual it must be great fun to be on the golf course day playing with new people even though it's not as usual you're playing subpar on easy courses but on the other hand you're also trying out a new disc you definitely need some practice to make the disc better stable

I thought those looked like apples from the outside of the post, but the tree didn't look the right shape ! I thought my eyes were deceiving me. Then I thought to myself, well... how many kinds of apple trees had I ever actually seen? Certainly different types of apples can grow on different types of trees.
This one grows straight up like a column. I should probably have trimmed it a bit more when it was younger so it branched out. It takes up less room in the yard.
I've never seen that before and never thought about what they would do if not trimmed traditionally.
