My Actifit Report Card: September 30 2023
I winterized the camper and got that all put away for the season again. This time, I took the battery out and stored it in the garage. The niebors child comes by sometimes and borrows my radio controlled car. I worried a little about him touching the battery, but I warned him about it, and I think he is old enough not to play with it. Just in case, I might move it up on the shelf or get another battery box to store it in.
I did a little bit of disc golf putting practice this afternoon. I felt good to be practicing. I have a tournament tomorrow for week four of the eight week league.
My mom fell down and broke her collarbone this afternoon when she was gardening. She is in the hospital for observation because she hit her head. It sounds like it is not too serious, and she should be home tomorrow if all goes well.
Dog guard:
A dog guard is kind of like a cattle guard, lol. Doggie stubbornly refused to cross over any of the nice bridges along the trail. He sat there wagging his tail, waiting for me to pick him up and carry him over. I think he just likes to be carried around.

Do you think any other dogs would refuse to walk across this bridge, or does doggy just want you to pick him up!😄
I hope your mother heals quickly, what can they do for a broken collarbone?
I think it is mostly the fact that Doggie just wants some special treatment. I think a larger dog would just walk right over the bridge but I'm not sure. These bridges were not there the last time I hiked the area and don't know what other dogs would do.
I hope my mom recovers well. I don't think there is much that can be done for a broken collarbone unless it is so out of place that it needs an operation. Hopefully, she will be able to move around after a bit.

This is a wonderful bridge. I think I have never seen such kind of beautiful bridge.
This bridge is new in the area from the last time I was there. It is a lot nicer than what I am used to seeing on many of the trails. I don't think there is ever much water flowing under this bridge but it can get muddy.
When I was younger you were lucky to see an old log across the stream. Falling off the log could be life-threatening when the water was flowing hard. The trails have been much improved since those days but I really enjoyed the more primitive backwoods experiences.
You must have really had a great time practicing disc golf ⛳

The trails are nice but some busy roads are in the area. I would have walked a bit farther but I get tired more easily. There is some gorgeous scenery down by the ocean but it is a bit far from the campsite.
Sure, you just have to what you can and leave the rest for nature.
By the way, I would love to see you share those fantastic scenery with us.

And what you say about your battery is actually very important to keep some things away from small children because not all things should be kept near children. Which are especially dangerous as any type of accident can happen at any time.

My mom decided not to stay in the hospital overnight. She sounded very tired and sleepy this morning but is doing fine. Thank you for your concern. She is a very strong person and I think she will recover in time.
