My Actifit Report Card: November 10 2023
My son and I played disc golf out at a local eighteen-hole course. He won the round at a +14 to my +18. Anything under a +20 on the course is a good round for my playing skills. With the cold and wet weather, I think we both did well, and it was a lot of fun playing together.
The wind was picking up a bit towards the end of the round. This seems typical for the course, and the last few holes are always more difficult because of the wind. I have lost discs before, but today, we both returned with all our discs.
I tested out a new disc today that I found yesterday in the woods. It was buried deeply, and there was no name on it. I'm not sure how long it had been there, but when you find something that deep in the woods, it could have been some time. I asked around, but nobody had reported it missing. It is a new Gateway Diamond Assissin disc. I immediately liked the feel of the plastic and wanted to try throwing it. It seems to fly a bit more stable than my least stable nine speed control driver. I'm always losing these flippy nine speed discs, so it will be good to have another understable disc as a spare.
So far, I am liking the way the disc feels and flies.

The score of the game is not so precious today the most precious today is father son playing together I think not everyone can enjoy this feeling and thank you very much for sharing your feelings with us.
Playing together with my son is most definitely the highlight. I feel so fortunate to be able to spend time together doing something fun.

It's great that you and your son are having fun on the disc golf course. Challenging weather and wind towards the end added an extra layer of excitement. Finding and trying new discs, especially ones found in the woods, is sure to bring a unique element to your playing. How does the Gateway Diamond Assassin disk compare to your other disks in terms of stability and performance? Oh yes, it is a very beautiful view to see the mountains in the gaps between the leaves and twigs.👌
The Gateway Diamond Assassin disc is very much like the other understable nine-speed discs that I bag. I have not thrown it enough yet to really give an honest assessment of it. It has enough stability to be workable for the throws I like to do with this type of disc. I have not had much experience throwing Gateway discs so it is fun for me to try it out. I'm not sure if I will purchase more of this disc or keep bagging it though. I will need to see how available it is around here and how consistently I can throw it.
Your son seemed to have made some progress in today's golf match with you, he did better this time,
It seems like the new disk you found provides a more stable flight than your previous new disk,
The golf view always looks so beautiful, the green grass, several trees and hills make the photo so perfect
I usually ask my son for tips on what to throw and how to throw it when we play. He is a better player than I am and got me into playing the disc golf game.

Aspens are looking good..
I think these might be birch trees, I am not sure if aspens grow around here. They look very similar.
Could be.. We had Birch in Pennsylvania.. I'd have to see the bark.. but I've been hearing all about the Aspens turning from friends in Colorado so I assumed.
