My Actifit Report Card: December 23 2023
My friends and I played a difficult long eighteen-hole disc golf course today. I won with a score of +16 to +24 and +30. I was really happy with my score today. Anytime I go under a +20 on this course, I have been playing a good round by my personal standards. I ended up with a UDisc round rating of 170.
This photo shows a fairway on hole fifteen:
This is a 471-foot par 3 hole. Usually, I try to play more towards the center of the fairway so that the second throw is easier because the path on the right of the trees is out-of-bounds. The basket is down by the trees on the right, and the teepad is right of the camera location.
Today, on my first throw, I turned the disc to the right a bit more than I wanted, but it was short of the trees and the path. I think it made the second throw shorter but more difficult because of the trees just to the right. I managed to throw the perfect line and landed right by the basket. I was really happy to get par on this difficult uphill hole.
My friend placed his first throw closer to the middle of the fairway about where I usually like to put mine. He was farther away from the basket than where I landed my first throw. He ended up throwing his second throw out of bounds over the path.
I might have to rethink my game plan on the hole because getting a bit closer to the basket on the first throw seems to be a better play than I thought.

Fun activity, I would like to know how the points are calculated,
At a basic level, there is a par set for each hole, and if you get into the basket with that many throws you are even for that hole. It gets more complicated with round ratings and player ratings.
Maybe I will understand, then I will learn more.
