My Actifit Report Card: March 23 2024
Rainy, rainy... I stayed inside most of the day and did a short shopping trip in the EV. It was too wet to ride the e-bike.
I did a bit of indoor disc golf putting practice. My throws are coming out smoother and more acurately. Hopefully, it will help out in my game.
I wanted to play some more with the new disc that I purchased yesterday, but it was a bit too wet outside.
It was a perfect day (if you're a slug):
I actually do like all the rain around here. It does make things nice and green. It gives me a good excuse to take a break sometimes, too.

I managed to get out today with my son and the new disc worked great. It is just the right stability right now.

I'm sure that they will start to get active soon. I've noticed that sometimes there are more snails and sometimes slugs. In general, I think I see more snails around here.

We live in the forest and they are everywhere including the Mrs. garden in the summertime!🙄

Thank God it has rained there and where we are it is still dry and we can see that in our area many trees have withered because there is not enough water.
Time for the green leaves to start popping out. They will add beauty to the surrounding when properly maintained.

These slugs can get very large around here.
Maybe it's raining today so you can't practice as much but your mind is set for tomorrow, that's a sportsman motivation.
At the same time, you have presented us with a very beautiful picture of a leech, in fact it can be seen during rains.
This is a slug, it does not attach to animals or suck blood or anything like a leech. I think the brown slugs like this one, mostly eat dead leaves and decaying plant material. There are some giant green slugs around here that are not native and they like to eat living plants.

Wow, today it's been raining almost all day where you are, in Indonesia we haven't felt rain for almost a month, especially now that we are entering the fasting month of Ramadan, of course the weather is very hot.
Snails must be very happy when it rains
The rain must have really been quite heavy right. Hope it didn't disrupt your plan for the day

Add some salt to that there slug..
I have heard that the giant green slugs taste horrible, but I have no personal experience with the green or brown ones. I'm not sure I'd try one without cooking thoroughly and maybe some salt would help. 😜
I'm sure Martha has a recipe somewhere.
