Getting used to cycle to work - March 16 2023
Hey hive bike riders :)
I've made it again: I cycled to work!!
If in other parts of the world using the bike to go everywhere is usual, that is not a safe option in many cities of Portugal. Fortunately for us bike lovers, things are changing, and smaller cities are getting adapted and bike friendly:)
That's the case of Coimbra, a city in the center of Portugal
For being perfect to go to work I needed an extra 1km of dedicated cycling path. It's crazy to share the road with stressed drivers that are (most likely...) delayed. Ufff. Who's on the bike needs to be careful to avoid getting hurt.
Today I ride about 14km (again) and surprisingly, no muscle pains!! 😃 P R O U D ! ! (Slow cycling mode: ON)
I haven't mentioned before, but I'm using a borrowed bike of a friend of mine to test. I'm not sure what sort of bike should I buy, if a mountain, trekking, city or eventually something with mixed characteristics.
I might not know what style of bike should I pick, but I know that cycling makes me happy!!
