Norris terminó con la monarquía de Verstappen (ESP-ING)

El pasado domingo 7 de diciembre, tras haberse terminado el Gran Premeio de Abu Dhabi, el piloto británico Lando Norris consiguió el título al mejor piloto de la Fórmula 1 tras terminar primero en lo más alto de la tabla de clasificación con 423 puntos acumulados en el año.

Luego de una dura batalla contra Max Verstappen y su compañero de escudería Oscar Piastri, Norris les superó por dos y veintitrés puntos de diferencia, respectivamente, dejando constancia de la intensificada lucha entre estos pilotos durante la temporada 2025 de la F1.

Además del número de puntos mencionado anteriormente, el piloto inglés logró siete victorias con igual cifra de Poles Position, consiguió culminar entre los mejores 10 pilotos de cada carrera en 21 oportunidades, y en el Top 5 en 20 ocaciones. Otro símbolo de su regularidad.

De esta manera, aquel niño que con ocho años de edad empezó a correr en el karting, 18 años después se coronó como el nuevo REY de la máxima categoría del automovilismo mundial, cortando la racha de cuatro títulos consguidos de forma consecutiva por Max Verstappen.

Norris Ends Verstappen’s Reign

On Sunday, December 7th, following the conclusion of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, British driver Lando Norris secured the Formula 1 World Drivers' Championship title. He finished at the top of the standings with a total of 423 points accumulated throughout the year.

After a fierce battle against Max Verstappen and teammate Oscar Piastri, Norris outperformed them by a margin of two and twenty-three points, respectively. This narrow gap highlights the intense rivalry between these drivers during the 2025 F1 season.

In addition to his points total, the English driver achieved seven victories and an equal number of Pole Positions. He managed to finish within the top 10 in 21 races and in the Top 5 on 20 occasions—a true testament to his remarkable consistency.

Thus, the boy who began karting at the age of eight has, 18 years later, been crowned the new KING of elite motorsport. In doing so, he has broken Max Verstappen’s streak of four consecutive world titles.
