A Curious Scene Downtown

Looking at this picture, I was going to write an ode to BC Place, which is the stadium you see in the background. This is the home of the BC Lions (football) and the Whitecaps (futbol). It dominates the skyline and would have been a perfect example of the beauty of human ingenuity coupled with basic mammalian emotions. An ode to BC place, however, would have meant ignoring the mini cooper coming around the corner- itself being a triumph of design (though not really my cup of tea). There is a history in that little car, I thought. As I was trying to work out this complex equation of gladiator hormonal sports vs automotive design, I noticed that the building on the right, which looks like the Men-in-Black headquarters, was missing a chunk. It appears to be a balcony with plants. Who would have thought it? I guess, even spooks need some fresh air. So, let this be my ode to BC Place, a mini cooper, and the Men in Black centre of operations.
