Filling Up My Steps with Window Shopping
Well, not very window shopping... I did get some stuffs along the way...
The most important is that when steps need to be met, even "window shopping" could do the trick.
Especially you walk in malls in Malaysia, not to mention IKEA linked malls
My main purpose there was to check on something, but along the way because I needed to top up some office pantry items I decided to stop by one of the Grocer that allowed me to redeem some points to grab some healthy stuffs. Turns out that it is actually some really fancy place.
Not sure how many countries have B.I.G (Ben's Independent Grocer) but the last time I went to one several years back it was very fancy and affordable for quite a bit of things like fresh hydroponics vegetables where you can harvest directly and pay , and also some really top notched marinated lamb .
Unfortunately... this small scaled version doesn't have much to see
"Healthier range" items like organic / non GMO longer shelf life aisle was pathetically small...
However there was an entire dedicated wine and liquor section for some "fancy quiet hangouts"
But how many wants to sip wine in a Grocer?
did you know this was invented by a girl from Belgium in one of their recipe competition many years ago?
Since it is 80% imported goods, I do spot some nostalgic favourites like this cookie spread that is super awesome where I tried it the first time in Europe in 2015.
But I didn't get it now since I am on a diet. Better stay clear at the moment 🤣
Imports doesn't limit to only the West side for B.I.G ; these Japanese and Taiwan emphasis specialty milk buns are up for grabs too.
but 1 bun of these is equivalent to 6 multi-grain & seed empty buns... I'll take the 6 buns over that fancy one any time at the moment
But all of the above are not the main star attraction that I really wanted to check out
The newly "human-less managed" recycling buy back center was just launched recently. Instead of we used to bring in recycling items and sell them for cash by weight, it is now all fully app automated with redemption points apparently.
I do so happened to have quite a bit of yoghurt bottles that I have set aside for recycling; however it has to be 1kg worth in order to get some points.
The good thing is that they also take worn out textiles so I will definitely be doing some spring cleaning on some ragged over worn clothes and chuck them to this place for a try.
Good thing is that my fat% is starting to go down but I still needed a bit more grewsome training; however after all the walking (especially getting an item from IKEA requires me to take the entire route from start to checkout) I'll skip the night training and start again the next night.
