Practising Shoulder Rotation Exercises to Counter Shoulder Pain while Learning Piano
I know I should be writing more often as I have been quite active of late, but if I post for the sake of posting, then it will defeat the purpose of my own screen name.
Thank God that today, there's something I have discovered and have been trying out to counter my frozen shoulder (improved significantly thanks be to God)
Maybe the chair is a little too low for the keyboard, I have been having shoulder strain (other than finger cramp after too much practice because I kept making mistakes 😅) where I have been trying to find ways to improve my flexibility for my shoulder area.
And then I came across this YouTube for shoulder warmups that looked simple but actually more challenging than it looks.
I have been trying the stick rotation with the house mop and I must say that I do have a lot of stiffness still for my shoulders!
The first 10reps felt like fire on my right shoulder (that's where the frozen shoulder occurred) but I tried doing 10reps alternate days and slowly do feel a little less tension on my shoulders.
There are other types like the elastic band, but that is cheating according to the coach , so I am trying to stick to this one first and slowly "unlock" the stiffness.
This coach actually does explain the differences and for super stiff shoulders we can try the wall rotation first.

I just taught my mom about the wall circular exercise and shown that her flexibility is really limited despite she overcame her frozen shoulder.
So I am hoping my parents and I will keep exercising until our shoulders become more flexible and less stiff and easily inflamed.
