Hiking in the Caldera de Taburiente National Park
It was not an easy decision: to take or not to take the younger one. At 8 years old, she had not yet walked more than 10 km. And here immediately 16 km and over rough terrain. If you don't take it, you'll be offended; if you take it, it won't reach you. I took a risk, in extreme cases I was ready to carry the last kilometers on my shoulders, I have experience. However, it worked out.
The road through the mouth of the ancient volcano that gave birth to the island turned out to be quite easy: almost without climbs (from a height of 1800 meters we went down to 800) and convenient (one can only guess what it cost the builders to pave all these paths in the middle of the last century). A very beautiful and interesting route: both views, and fearless lizards, and a black rabbit, and a multi-colored waterfall.
