Splinterlands End of Season 95: Rank 42 in Gold I League!

avatar

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!

Season 95 has just wrapped up. For the first time since Conclave Arcana was released, I made it to Diamond III League! I also finished the season at Rank 42 and received an extra 25,000 Glints for getting a spot in the top 100 with 176 wins out of 358 battles.

Legendary Reward Chests Purchase

Like last season I will spend my glints to buy two legendary reward chests. I'm building my legendary line up and the legendary reward chest is the easiest way to get them. Unfortunately, they are very expensive at 70k glints each so I can only afford two. First, I bought alchemy potions to increase my chances of getting gold foils. I appreciate the 5% discount I got from our guild building.

Afterwhich, I had the right amount of potions and bought the chests for 140k glints.

My two legendary cards. It's the second copy of Chuma Marandu and a new one in Nullwrought. I'm already using Chuma in my battles and I'm sure I can find a slot for Nullwrought. His Bloodline Tribute ability will have have some synergy with other elementals.

As for Chuma, I want him at level two where he gains the Demoralize ability so it's fine to get another copy of him.

Featured Battle

The featured battle was the last win that got me into Diamond III League.

Battle 1 - Outsider Ruleset

Outsider is the new ruleset that breathe new life into legacy cards. Under this ruleset, we can use one Wild card in battle. I chose the Dragon archon combined with Death because I had a combo in mind that I wanted to try. I had the Ujurak Brave as my tank. It's not an offensive tank but it has good defense. It also debuffs the enemy's magic attack with Silence ability. Next is Gravebrand Warlock that deals three magic damage and speeds up the team with Swiftness ability. Now for the combo I wanted to try that was made possible by the Outsider ruleset. I had a no attack unit, Ulundin Overseer in between two units with Weapons Training ability. He gained two attacks of two magic and three range because of this. I used the legendary card, Berix Snakeye, who deals three range damage and has the Weapons Training ability. Lastly, I had Syrenth to taunt the enemy attackers.

The enemy had higher level archon but his units were not that great. His team were magic damage dealers that were debuffed by my tank. On the other hand, he used the same tank that debuffed my magic units. Overall, my team had the higher damage output and the best unit was Ulundin Overseer with dual attacks. My team struggled at first but soon the enemy had trouble disposing of my Ulundin Overseer who had twelve health. That turned the battle in my direction and secured the win.
