This Frontier Card is Important in Modern Mode!

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!
If you have been playing the Frontier mode then you'll notice that the cards in there are not as strong as cards in the Modern mode. Most have weaker stats and abilities compared to their Modern counterparts. For example, the legendary card, Little Sister is just comparable to the level two rare card, Shadowfey Shiek with the same abilities.

The Time Bandit

There are some exceptions though like the Mystic Scaleweaver which has found its way to the Modern meta because of its strong magic attack. Another card that has found utility in Modern mode is the Time Bandit. This is because of its ability, Cleanse which not many cards possess. It's an ability that's crucial in rulesets like Noxious Fumes and Global Warming. It's even more useful in Global Warming since it cannot be cured by Immunity ability, only Cleanse will remove its effects.

At maxed level, the Time Bandit deals a decent two magic damage. It has eight health that will keep him alive for four turns while keeping the tank clean from the effects of Poison and Burning.
Featured Battles
I use the Time Bandit in my battles with great success. It has proven to be a key card in the rulesets I mentioned above. Here are a some battles to showcase his utility. All these battles are with the Earth team with Kaylia Silverleaf archon.
Battle 1 - Global Warming

This battle had the Global Warming ruleset. The thing with this ruleset is it can't be offset by Immunity so only Cleanse will remove its effects. I had Quilliun Legionary as my tank. He repels both melee and magic attacks with his Thorns and Void abilities. He also has decent health to stay longer in battle. He is followed by long range damage dealers including the Time Bandit.
The enemy had the Water magic team which was immediately countered by my archon. He got Commander Slade on tank followed by magic damage dealers. In last position he had Sergeant Grauzral who has Immunity. However, Immunity does not remove burning status and continued to suffer from its effects. With both burning and electrified dealing damage to his team, he soon got defeated.
Battle 2 - Noxious Fumes

This is an easier ruleset with Noxious Fumes. I used almost the same team but this time I included Aranduriel whose Painforge ability will enable her to increase her attack each time she got damaged by Poison.
The enemy had a legendary archon Elias and legendary card Mantaroth. His team has a high damage output made up of all melee cards. Curiously, he didn't give the Cleansing ability to his units and all of them got Poisoned. For my team, at least my tank was safe. The biggest hurdle for my team was the enemy's Mantaroth but once it got defeated, the battle went easier.
Battle 3 - Global Warming and Noxious Fumes

This is the most punishing battle with both Noxious Fumes and Global Warming rulesets. This means four damage each round and survival takes precedence over damage. My team had two high health units, my tank and the Time Bandit.
The enemy team was led by the fearsome legendary dragon Nidhoggr. He had a one health unit that will immediately die but he has two high health units. On the other hand, he doesn't have any ability to remove burning and poison and soon died from its effects.
