What is LOLZ Defi?

LOLZ Defi is a way to earn passive income on the Hive Blockchain and includes three components.

  • LOLZ Curation
  • LOLZ Farming
  • LOLZ Dividends

Each component works together to provide value to LOLZ users, delegators, and holders. Learn more about how LOLZ Defi works in our Introduction to LOLZ Defi post.

LOLZ Farming Basics

Farm LOLZ tokens by delegating Hive tokens to the LOLZ Curation bots (HIVE delegation coming soon!). We are rewarding delegators with LOLZ tokens equal to 110% of the value of the curation rewards received from their delegation.

To start farming LOLZ, delegate the following tokens to the associated curation bot.

Curation Earnings

The following table summarizes the LOLZ Curation earnings for the last 24 hours. The APR shown is calculated by dividing the daily earnings by the amount of tokens staked and delegated multiplied by 365 days. The APR for each token changes daily based on the earnings achieved. Note the APRs shown DO NOT include the 10% bonus paid to LOLZ farmers.

Dividends

Forty percent of curation earnings are paid out as dividends to LOLZ Headliners (holders of 512 or more LOLZ) on a pro-rated basis weekly. Currently, dividends are paid out for two tokens per day, such that all pool rewards are paid out once per week.

SPT seems to be doing better. I've been tipping Splintertalk content recently to get more action over there.

It seems like its coming at the expense of oneup though which is strange since the Splinterlands tags work for oneup.

ya I noticed that too, I had like 16k spt delegated but apr was coming in below 5% I see its near 50% now, maybe I will delegate some back into the mix.

See my response to imno ... but we are working to get SPT returns better. So far I think it is just a mater of luck that we are up, but maybe the increase in usage on Splitertalk is helping. !LOLZ !PIZZA

I'm really hoping their ideas workout and it stays up high. I'd love to see more people delegate SPT and other coins to make that LOLZ call more valuable. I plan on collecting quite a bit of !LOLZ from here.

Did you pick up one of the governance NFTs? I think there are only 4 of us right now.

no I wasnt aware of them until you mentioned them, looks like they are 50,000 meme for cheapest now equiv to 14 or 15 hive. Or do we get one being a headliner?

Yes, SPT is doing better. We made a tweak, but I don't think that is the cause. SPT is just an odd bird in how it rewards. Sometimes we earn 0.2 SPT for an upvote, sometimes 30. We think we know how to maximize our returns, but need some time to create a new bot and test it. But we are thinking if things go well we can really get BIG rewards regularly. !LOLZ !PIZZA

It looks like there is room to grow with people delegating SPT so that would be great if your theories work out. I ignored the curation aspect of the !LOLZ call at first but now I see it can be really powerful. I'm trying to think of ways to make it better. Like I have the 9th largest stake in MEME right now. I don't want to delegate it but I'm thinking I might follow the lolz.meme curation trail just to boost its impact.

That would be cool. Yeah, the bot upvotes are not insignificant in the tribes now, and are getting bigger with time. Following (via Hive.vote I assume), would upvote posts (but not comments) that lolz.meme upvotes.

There's a setting for comments but I had to go in and select that option. It didn't default to it. I'm not sure it's possible for the creator of the trail to have people default to it when they sign up.

I have some ideas to utilize the curation trail for an NFT project but it needs some support. I'm going to see if I can find some way to fold the idea into LOLZ and if so I'll run it by you in the governors mansion to see if it can help the project.
