From Europe to the USA Tracking Steps Above the Clouds.
Traveling across the world is a unique experience that challenges your routine, your sleep cycle, and most importantly for us Actifiters your daily step count! Today, Sunday, May 3, 2026, marked a major milestone as I traveled from Europe to the United States. While I was worried that sitting on a plane for hours would keep my activity levels low, I managed to reach 6,390 steps, proving that travel days are more active than they seem.

The Journey Across the Atlantic
There is something magical about looking out of a plane window and seeing a sea of white clouds beneath a piercing blue sky. The photo I took today captures that exact moment of serenity at 35,000 feet. It’s a reminder of how small we are and how vast the world is.
Most of my steps today were accumulated in the early morning and during the hustle and bustle of the airport. Navigating through security, walking between terminals, and the final trek to the boarding gate really added up. My activity graph shows a solid peak around 3:00 PM, which likely accounts for the final movements before settling in for the long-haul flight. Even while on the plane, I made a conscious effort to stretch and walk the aisles occasionally to keep the circulation going a vital tip for anyone on a transatlantinc flight!

Embracing the New Time Zone

Walking is the best way to fight jet lag. Once I landed and cleared customs, those extra steps heading to my accommodation helped wake up my muscles and get me synchronized with the local time.
