Mi reporte de Actifict: marzo 20 2024 - #SWC
Hoy, como cualquier otro día, me levanté con el sol y me dirigí al trabajo. La rutina diaria transcurrió sin incidentes, pero lo que realmente marcó la diferencia fue lo que sucedió después. Alrededor de las 6 de la tarde, mientras estiraba y realizaba mi rutina de calistenia en la plaza que frecuento, no pude evitar notar la condición descuidada del lugar como de costumbre.
Era un espacio que todos valorábamos, un lugar donde la comunidad se reunía, no solo para entrenar sino para ser parte de algo más grande que nosotros mismos. Decidí que era el momento de hablar, de compartir mis pensamientos con aquellos que, como yo, encontraban en esta plaza un segundo hogar.
Me acerqué a la gente, a los jóvenes que con sus maniobras y risas llenaban el lugar de vida. Les hablé de cómo, si nos unimos, podríamos devolverle a la plaza su antigua gloria. Les expliqué que con un poco de esfuerzo y dedicación, podríamos transformarla en un lugar del que todos podríamos estar orgullosos.
Today, like any other day, I woke up with the sun and headed to work. The daily routine went by without incident, but what really made a difference was what happened afterwards. Around 6 in the evening, as I stretched and performed my calisthenics routine in the square I frequent, I couldn’t help but notice the neglected condition of the place as usual.
It was a space that we all valued, a place where the community gathered, not only to train but to be part of something bigger than ourselves. I decided it was time to speak up, to share my thoughts with those who, like me, found in this square a second home.
I approached the people, the youth whose maneuvers and laughter filled the place with life. I spoke to them about how, if we come together, we could restore the square to its former glory. I explained that with a little effort and dedication, we could transform it into a place we could all be proud of.

"Todo depende de nuestro esfuerzo", les dije, y sentí una chispa de esperanza, un deseo colectivo de mejorar no solo nuestro espacio de entrenamiento, sino nuestra comunidad.
Al final del día, me fui con una sensación de logro. No por las rutinas de ejercicio que había completado, sino por haber iniciado una conversación que podría llevar a una acción real. Me emociona pensar que, tal vez, me escucharon. Que juntos, en un futuro no muy lejano, podremos darle una nueva vida a esta plaza que tanto significa para nosotros.
Este es solo el comienzo, pero es un comienzo prometedor. La idea ha sido plantada, y con un poco de cuidado y esfuerzo, estoy seguro de que florecerá en algo hermoso. La plaza no es solo un conjunto de bancos y barras; es el corazón de nuestra comunidad, y merece ser tratada como tal. Con suerte, pronto veremos los frutos de nuestro trabajo y podremos disfrutar de un espacio renovado que refleje el espíritu y la determinación de todos los que lo usamos.
I mentioned how means like SWC and Hive could help us, as they could be catalysts for this change if we decide to leverage them. "It all depends on our effort", I told them, and I felt a spark of hope, a collective desire to improve not just our training space, but our community as well.
At the end of the day, I left with a sense of accomplishment. Not for the exercise routines I had completed, but for having started a conversation that could lead to real action. It excites me to think that, perhaps, they listened to me. That together, in the not too distant future, we can give new life to this square that means so much to us.
This is just the beginning, but it is a promising start. The idea has been planted, and with a little care and effort, I am sure it will blossom into something beautiful. The square is not just a set of benches and bars; it is the heart of our community, and deserves to be treated as such. Hopefully, soon we will see the fruits of our labor and be able to enjoy a renewed space that reflects the spirit and determination of all of us who use it.
