Este miércoles 14 de septiembre en mi ciudad de Maturín se vivió un partido especial en el estadio Monumental ante el Carabobo, ya que el Monagas SC solo necesitaba un empate para asegurar su participación en la próxima Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores 2023. El objetivo fue cumplido, no fue victoria azulgrana pero sí un empate que le permite clasificarse a la siguiente ronda de La Liga FUTVE, con este le tocará pelear por la estrella de la temporada y entrar directo a la Fase de Grupo de Libertadores.

Monagas con su 4-3-3 de formación género pocas ocasiones dentro del área rival, pero aún así pudo conseguir la victoria tras una de las poco que tuvo el cuadro dirigido por Jhonny Ferreira, Aquiles Ocanto desperdició la ocasión más clara del Monagas en el segundo tiempo.

Al Monagas SC le ha estado costando en todo este torneo sumar los tres puntos en el Monumental, tienen empates y varias derrotas, lo que le favorece es los resultados positivos que han tenido de visitante, siendo un de los equipos que mejor les ha ido en carretera.
