Este viernes 08 de abril del presente año el Monagas SC recibió al Zulia FC en el estadio Monumental de Maturín, en el marco de la jornada 07 de la Liga FUTVE, el elenco azulgrana con mucha comodidad derrotó 2 goles por 0 al conjunto zuliano, marcador que pudo ser más amplio por las constantes llegadas que tuvieron los locales y no pudieron concretar. El Chino Aquiles Ocanto y el chico de 16 años, David Martínez fueron los anotadores del partido.

Monagas mostró otra cara muy diferente al partido anterior en dónde cayó derrotado de visitante ante Hermanos Colmenares. Los dirigidos por Jhonny Ferreira debían reencontrarse con la victoria y más aprovechando su localía, además de que al frente tenían a un Zulia que viene cojeando en este inicio de temporada, los de Maturín con mucho más plantel que los zulianos debían mostrar su superioridad en cancha.
