Este lunes 15 de noviembre se vivió la vuelta de la Gran Final de la Liga FUTVE 2 entre Atlético La Cruz y Titanes FC, ambos conjuntos en busca del único cupo a Primera División y coronarse como monarcas del torneo de la Segunda División del fútbol venezolano.

On Monday, November 15, the second leg of the FUTVE 2 League Grand Final was played between Atlético La Cruz and Titanes FC, both teams in search of the only place in the First Division and to be crowned as champions of the Venezuelan Soccer Second Division tournament.

La ida de la Gran Final tuvo como resultado un 1-0 a favor del cuadro de Titanes FC de Maracaibo, mientras que Atlético La Cruz de la ciudad monaguense tenía que recibirlos en el estadio Monumental de Maturín en busca de remontar el resultado para conseguir el anhelado ascenso a la Primera categoría del balompié criollo en su primer año de fundado.

The first leg of the Grand Final resulted in a 1-0 win for Titanes FC of Maracaibo, while Atlético La Cruz of the city of Monagüense had to receive them at the Monumental de Maturín stadium in an attempt to overcome the result to achieve the longed-for promotion to the first category of Venezuelan football in its first year of existence.

Es la primera vez que les cuento acá en @FullDeportes sobre este equipo de mi ciudad (Atlético La Cruz), como fue la primera vez que asistí a un juego del conjunto dirigido por Edward Leonet en su año debutante como DT, para ex jugador de fútbol que por muchos tiempo jugó con el Monagas SC. Yo cómo monaguense me emocionaba ver cómo este equipo nuevo se iba ganando su nombre en la ciudad y llegando hasta la estancia final peleando por el ascenso.

It is the first time I tell you here in @FullDeportes about this team from my city (Atletico La Cruz), as it was the first time I attended a game of the team coached by Edward Leonet in his debut year as DT, a former soccer player who for many years played with Monagas SC. I was excited to see how this new team was earning its name in the city and reaching the final stay fighting for promotion.

Ya en el partido yo me encontraba sentado en uno de los asientos del estadio Monumental, pude ver a un Atlético La Cruz sin ideas de juego para generarle peligro al equipo rival, con pocas jugadas en ataque. Se veía muy difícil así que consiguieron el objetivo de marcar un gol antes del descanso, no era el camino adecuado si para el segundo tiempo salían así sin adelantar líneas ni proyectar al frente.

I was sitting in one of the seats of the Monumental stadium, I could see an Atlético La Cruz with no game ideas to generate danger to the rival team, with few attacking plays. It looked very difficult so they achieved the goal of scoring a goal before the break, it was not the right way to go if for the second half they came out like that without advancing lines or projecting forward.

En el complemento era todo o nada. Es por eso que uno de sus referentes y capitán del Atlético La Cruz, Carlos «Burrito» Alemán se encargó de picar la por encima de un defensor defensa para que José Tacay colocará el empate en el global al minuto 56 de partido. Titanes FC se quedó con uno menos por la expulsión de Yeferson Paz al 60' y esa superioridad numérica la aprovechó rápidamente el local para marcar el 2-0 por medio de Víctor Rivero, al 62'.

Pero comenzaron a desperdiciar ocasiones y un gol del rival les favorecía por el gol de visitante, que desde la tribuna principal nos preguntamos si ese gol de visitante lo habían quitado, pues no era así y la anotación de Titanes FC llegó al 85' tras una mala salida del portero Ismael Caria y vimos como las posibilidades se le escapa de las manos a los dirigidos por Edward Leonet.

Atletico La Cruz had everything in their favor to take the overall result, having many spaces in the remaining minutes of the game to extend the score and secure their ticket to the First Division. La afición monaguense (me involucró) soñaba con tener dos representantes en Primera División de nuestro fútbol y recordar aquel ascenso de Monagas SC en el año 2015 con Yangel Herrera a la cabeza con apenas 17 años en el estadio Comanche Bottini. Los dirigentes e inversores encargados de llevar este equipo a una Final, espero sigan manteniendo la linda iniciativa de continuar por ese camino para volver a intentar el ascenso en la próxima temporada 2022. Cada vez el fanático se comienza a entusiasmar con los resultados que vengan obteniendo y así ganarse una identidad en el estado Monagas y en el país.

The Monagas fans (I got involved) dreamed of having two representatives in the First Division of our soccer and remember that promotion of Monagas SC in 2015 with Yangel Herrera at the head with just 17 years old in the Comanche Bottini stadium. The leaders and investors in charge of taking this team to a Final, I hope they continue to maintain the nice initiative to continue along that path to try again to try the promotion in the next season 2022. Each time the fans are starting to get excited with the results they are getting and thus gain an identity in the state of Monagas and in the country.
