Today is Mother’s Day! But since my mom is in Venezuela, I coordinated a sporty plan with another friend whose mom also doesn’t live in the city — we called it the “motherless plan” 😂

Every Sunday, the city closes off a stretch of one of its main avenues, and in this space, people go jogging, running, cycling, rollerblading, and even walking their dogs — it’s a very family-friendly sports plan.

After jogging for 40 minutes and ending up totally out of breath because of all the uphill stretches, we went for a good coffee and a delicious breakfast. A perfect Sunday plan for those of us who have our moms far away ❀

ÂĄHoy es el dĂ­a de las madres! Pero como mi mamĂĄ estĂĄ en Venezuela, coordinĂ© un plan deportivo con otra amiga cuya madre tampoco vive en la ciudad, le llamamos el plan de "las desmadradas" 😂

Cada domingo, la alcaldĂ­a cierra una parte de una de la avenida mĂĄs importante de la ciudad, y en este tramo las personas van a trotar, correr, andar en bicicleta, patines e incluso pasear a sus perritos, un plan deportivo muy familiar.

Luego de trotar 40 minutos y acabar con la lengua afuera pues hay muchas subidas, fuimos por un buen cafĂ© y un desayuno delicioso. Un plan perfecto de domingo para quienes tenemos a nuestra madre lejos ❀
