Complacida en saludarlos amigos de family & friends deseándoles un Feliz Año 🎉 a todos , arrancamos con un año lleno de sorpresas y cambios que auguramos sean para beneficio de todos en especial nuestras familias, que representa lo más importante que tenemos en la vida. El día de hoy les comparto lo que fue la reunión familiar que tuve junto a mis seres queridos para recibir un nuevo año llenos de optimismo y fe, abiertos a recibir lo mejor del universo, agradeciendo primeramente a Dios por todo los que nos trajo este año y también por las lecciones aprendidas.

We are starting a year full of surprises and changes that we hope will benefit everyone, especially our families, who are the most important thing we have in life. Today, I would like to share with you what happened at the family gathering I had with my loved ones to welcome in the new year full of optimism and faith, open to receiving the best the universe has to offer, giving thanks first and foremost to God for everything he has brought us this year and also for the lessons we have learned.

Este año nos reunimos nuevamente en casa de mi madre para esperar las 12 campanadas, y darnos el acostumbrado abrazo de año nuevo, después de cenar en mi casa con mis hijos nos fuimos a donde mi mamá ya a la noche, ya que paso toda la tarde lloviendo y pudimos salir fue como a las 10 de la noche, le lleve unos dulces y unos refrescos para celebrar hasta tarde y mantener a mis hijos despiertos, y se activaron de más ja, ja, ja.

This year we gathered again at my mother's house to wait for the 12 chimes and give each other the customary New Year's hug. After having dinner at my house with my children, we went to my mother's house at night, since it rained all afternoon and we were able to leave at around 10 p.m. I brought some sweets and soft drinks to celebrate late into the night and keep my children awake, and they got overexcited, ha ha ha.

Ese es un día muy alegre, pero melancólico a la vez, porque inevitablemente recuerdas a esos familiares que ya no están contigo, mi padre fue imposible no recordarlo, al igual que una tía muy querida que siempre nos acompañaba en estas fechas, mi prima quedo en venir con su familia a recibir el año con nosotros pero lamentablemente tuvo problemas con su carro y nos visito fue al otro día, igual la pasamos muy bien comimos, bailamos, escuchamos gaitas y brindamos en unión familiar con mi mamá, tío, hijos, hermana y sobrina que mientras estábamos en la cuenta regresiva íbamos pidiendo por el país, y nosotros que nunca nos falte la salud, la buena fortuna, y las bendiciones se multipliquen para todos hasta que en la radio anunciaron las doce de la noche y nos dimos un gran abrazo grupal que nos cargó a todos de buena energía.

It's a very happy day, but also a melancholy one, because you inevitably remember those family members who are no longer with you. It was impossible not to remember my father, as well as a beloved aunt who always joined us at this time of year. My cousin planned to come with her family to ring in the new year with us, but unfortunately she had car trouble and visited us the next day. We still had a great time eating, dancing, listening to bagpipes, and toasting as a family with my mom, uncle, children, sister, and niece. As we counted down, we made wishes for the country and that we would never lack health, good fortune, and blessings would multiply for everyone. Until the radio announced midnight, and we gave each other a big group hug that filled us all with good energy.

Ya una vez que reventó el año bajamos al estacionamiento a ver los fuegos artificiales, y a darle el feliz año a los vecinos, que se encontraban abajo también disfrutando de la brisa y la alegría que había en el ambiente, ya para esta hora los teléfonos no paraban de sonar nuestros familiares que están fuera del país llamaron y nos conectamos por video llamadas para compartir esa dicha por cerrar un año un tanto difícil juntos en salud y bienestar; mi mamá hablo con su hermana que vive en Brasil, los sobrinos que están en Estados Unidos, mi hermana la llamo su hijo desde Paraguay, mi tío también recibiendo las llamadas de los, mis hijos y yo llamando tambien a su hermanita que vive en Brasil, y así pasamos un par de hora, anhelando darnos ese abrazo que acostumbrábamos darnos y ahora por todas las razones que sabemos nuestros familiares están tan lejos que es inevitable sentir un nudo en la garganta no tenerlos cerca un 31 de diciembre.

Me despido de ustedes con un mensaje de esperanza que vendrán tiempos mejores, y que en un futuro cercano podremos reencontrarnos nuevamente con todos nuestros seres queridos y darnos ese abrazo tan esperado 🙌 😇. Hasta una nueva oportunidad.

Once the year had ended, we went down to the parking lot to watch the fireworks and wish our neighbours a happy new year. They were also down there enjoying the breeze and the joyful atmosphere. By this time, the phones were ringing nonstop. Our relatives who live abroad called, and we connected via video calls to share our happiness at ending a somewhat difficult year together in good health and well-being. My mom spoke with her sister who lives in Brazil, my nephews who are in the United States, my sister got a call from her son in Paraguay, my uncle also received calls from my cousins, my children and I also called their little sister who lives in Brazil, and so we spent a couple of hours, longing to give each other the hugs we used to give each other. Now, for all the reasons we know, our relatives are so far away that it is inevitable to feel a lump in our throats not having them close on December 31.

I bid you farewell with a message of hope, that better times will come and that in the near future we will be able to reunite with all our loved ones and give them that long-awaited hug 🙌 😇. Until next time.
