Community Shield y Premier League), tras el retiro del histórico duo central Wes Morgan y Rober Huth, las salidas empezaron a hacerse notar en el plantel y atravesaron unos años un poco complicados, y por ejemplo, aunque incluyamos a Amartey porque fue parte de la plantilla, no fue para nada fundamental en el título de Premier League, habiendo jugado solo 104 minutos en aquella temporada y no habiendo anotado, ni asistido (claro, es defensa, tampoco es como que eso esté mal), entonces los 2 jugadores clabes que realmente se mantienen son Albrighton que disputó los 38 encuentros de aquella Premier League y Jamie Vardy que disputó 36, rompiendo el récord de más jornadas consecutivas anotando y dejando obras de arte como su gol ante Liverpool con una volea escándalosa. Albrighton ya cuenta con 32 años, mientras que el hombre de la película y de la historia de superación, Jamie Vardy ya tiene 35 años, al igual que su compañero Schmeichel que finalmente abandonó al club.
