Ready or not, here I come..

📌 Adventure afoot!

🔼 With the wind howling today, I found myself being whipped by so many reeds. Take for example these in the cover photo.. encroaching on the path itself.

📌 It's now pristine!

⏫ The first piece of litter today, had a rather sad story associated with it. It was a 'lost cat' poster. I wasn't quite sure what to do with it. I mean, obviously it didn't belong blowing down the road. I also didn't have anything to afix it anywhere with. The wind was so strong as well, so I'm not sure it would have even held. I picked it up and pondered on the situation. Soon after, I was pleased found another copy hanging in a prominent place (nice and secure at the main entrance to the wetlands). That made me feel a bit better with safely discarding this particular soiled copy. I was sure to also take a photo of the details.. just in case I personally spotted the lost cat somewhere.

⏫ Next up was a local newspaper spoiling the wild vegetation.

⏫ It was whilst I was photographing a shard of glass, that I saw another little piece of plastic in the same scene. Both were safely removed.

⏫ I don't really desire to know what this was used for. It stank.. really bad too!

⏫ There's a local term for the manner in which I had to go about the recovery of this plastic bag.. 'bundle bashing'.

⏫ One of the more interesting finds for the day.. a filthy jacket.

⏫ Another hazard in the form of glass taken care of.

⏫ This pretty view looked so much better once that 'paper like' stuff was gone.

⏫ Seems like an empty plastic packet from iodated sea salt.

⏫ Another nasty plastic bag blowing in the wind. I hope that one day, it'll just be paper bags produced.. they're so much much cooler for the environment. Although I occasionally make use of the odd plastic carrier (re-using where practical), I'd be quite content if that was not possible either. That being said, the carrier which I was using today is designed to be re-usable (good idea). It seems to work well with collecting dry trash.

📌 Now in this bin!

⏫ The bag of rubbish felt really full today. I was so stoked when I got to empty it in the nearby municipal bin. Overall, I had quite a good workout too.

📌 Final words

🔼 Relating back to the beginning.. I found it quite amusing during the recovery of this plastic lid - located between two sets of reeds. As I lowered myself, I seemed to become their target practice in the wind. The removal of the litter was like dethreading the eye of a needle.
