Season 15: Final Four
Good Day,
Season 15 Final Four starts tomorrow. It's four days (Thursday thru Sunday) of intense activities for the 4 contenders. Let's see who the players are - they are really creme de la creme of this game. We have the three All Times leaders this season! We are however missing the Defending Champion (@mervinthepogi) and current Ranking Leader (@flaxz). It's going to be Europe vs USA match!
@bucipuci (CZ) is a big name in all stepping competitions. He does impossible amounts of steps on workdays, but then rests on weekends. Perhaps this the reason for him winning @macfit only once. He was also runner-up twice and had four Final Four appearances.
@danmaruschak (US) typically does ~30k steps on an average day. We haven't seen much "fireworks" from him, but he beats the competition with his regularity. Double @macfit champion, once runner-up and two Final Four appearances
@manuvert (US) walks a lot with his dog (and sometimes cat). Has lower average than the players mentioned above, but he is very competitive and can make a difficult oponent. Double @macfit champion, three times runner-up and 2 additional Final Four appearances.
@merthin (PL) works from home and his activities center on the weekend. He can do 50k steps on a good hiking Saturday, but struggles to get above 20k on a working day. He has the lowest average among the finalists. Historically - double @macfit champion and 4 Final Four appearances.
My expectation is that all four contenders do well above 120k steps over the four days. The differences can be minimal. Good luck, all!

I am sure that @bucipuci will leave us all behind after Thursday and Friday and I will be lurking 4th, with pathetic scores for the two days. But then comes Saturday with a good hike ahead of me and I will try to catch up. @danmaruschak and @manuvert will be probably more consistent.

@manuvert - @bucipuci, @danmaruschak and @merthin post their @actifit reports at the end of a day and you do "the day after". Could you, for the sake of following the Final Four "live", comment this post each day with your score as your day comes to an end (a rough number, it's ok if you add more steps before going to bed)?

For Thursday, it was 30432 steps.
Tomorrow's challenging for me (especially with the rain in the forecast), but I'll try and keep up with the group as much as I can!
No worries about adding more steps, I can't remember the last time I went to bed before Midnight (or before 2am for that matter)...

After Day 1 @bucipuci is in the lead - as expected. However, @danmurschak is close behind. @merthin and @manuvert did they best and let's say that both have good starting positions.

Sorry for the late reply. As expected, that was a weak day for me with only 20394 steps. Wow, already so much behind... I didn't have high expectations, but still...

the level of this Final Four is very high indeed. I had expected 120k total, now I think that the winner could be between 150-160k over 4 days.
