Ozark Life, 7/18/22

It rained again last night! I didn’t have to carry the water to our baby berry plants today, so that was a nice change. And the air feels so much cleaner. Today was gorgeous, at least in the shade, so @nomaddreamer and I went for two walks, before and after breakfast. We had to enjoy it; we’re looking at temps above 100F for the next foreseeable future.


After our lovely walks it was off to get groceries, then down to the workshop for a bit.


I’m getting back into silversmithing after a four year hiatus, so it’s slow-going for me as I remember that my hands know more than my brain tells me they do. Self-doubt can be overwhelming, but the way I lose myself in shaping metal tells me it’s worth the path.

These will-be earrings are my current project; made from sterling silver, copper, and brass. They’ll be getting more mountainy details and ear hooks soon.

Round the day out with Splinterlands, swimming, and a show with the kids. It’s been a perfect Ozark day! Now to hunker down for the heat wave. Stay cool everyone!

Wow… Temperatures over 100°F that's cooking where you are! Glad you got some rain, I understand about carrying water to the small plants....Two five gallon buckets every other day......... Stay cool, congratulations on a healthy 11K @actifit step day!
