Ozark Life ~ September 20 2022
It was a beautiful, sunshiny, summery day today here in #ozarklife.
The temperature actually got into the upper 90’s today. Needless to say, it was a sweaty hike today for me and @nomaddreamer!
There’s so much life and activity in the forest lately. The insects are huge and everywhere and the butterflies were doing fly-by’s as close as possible to our heads. It seemed like every corner we turned had an armadillo, squirrels, or a turtle waiting for us.
That’s one of the great things about our hikes in this area; there’s constant motivation to see what’s around the bend and through the trees. It’s all new to us because we’re still new to this place!
Turtles everywhere! I guess they could get boring, but not for me. I love watching them, and they don’t seem to mind too much as long as we keep the dog away.

There are painted rocks left all through the trail. I liked this one, and it’s placement. I’m planning to paint some Hive rocks to leave.
I made a rock stack today. Trying to find that illusive balance!
Other than our hike, we did some walking, lots of chores, and a few errands.

Yep, that's an armadillo tail, to be exact. Of a rather large armadillo. I'm not willing to go off the trail much (snakes and spiders and crawlies, oh my!!) so I didn't get as good of a pic as I would like!!
I can completely appreciate that...... I would be doing exactly the same taking pictures from afar Lol!😳😇
