Ozark Life ~ October 11 2022
A perfect 81F and sunny all day today here in the Ozarks.
We need rain, but the sun in these cooler temps is hard to deny! This is one of the driest autumns in a very long time here, according to long-time locals.
@nomaddreamer and I hiked our trail this morning. The dry leaves crunched under our feet and fell all around us. The forest is rushing canopy-first into fall.
There’s more and more color every day.
If we happen to get some rainfall, 🤞, and it snaps to cooler temps like the forecast is predicting, we’ll have stellar autumn colors. If not, brown and dry will be the prevailing color.
Hopefully by next week my posts will be filled with more reds and oranges!
I love fall. As we’re still new to this area, it boggles my mind to be surrounded by fall but be dressed in a tank top. I’m loving the sun but missing my cozy fall sweaters! 🍁
Other than our hike, we did chores, ran errands, cleaned the house, and of course, danced in the kitchen. 💜

They've had that color all year, so that's kinda cheating. They're just natural autumn skin tones when it comes to their coloring!
