How are you Hivers? I hope you are doing very well right now. This morning, a beautiful Tuesday of the week, the weather was rainy. Although it rained intermittently from night to morning, after about two hours the rain subsided and the sun slowly started to shine. During this beautiful weather, I had the opportunity to visit several beaches and beautiful places near the historic Galle Fort this morning.

My little daughter did not leave for school today as she was unwell. That is why my daughter also joined me for this beautiful journey. The Galle Fort is a beautiful area with many historical buildings. In fact, anyone who sees it will have a desire to explore it. The Galle coastal area can be described as an area where the fishing industry is abundant. In addition, a swimming training academy can also be seen here. There are indeed many things of historical value here. Although this area was created by the Portuguese, it was further improved by the Dutch.

The Galle Fort waterfront has a beautiful area for walking and jogging. It can be said to be a very recent creation. Attention should be paid to this step taken to preserve the Galle Fort. It is truly a commendable work. The restoration of historical things in a way that is more suitable for the present is to be commended.

The coastline is modernized with many modern and traditional fishing boats. In fact, not only fishermen live here. I saw through this tour that there are many people who live from the tourism industry. Especially preserved parts of weapons used for warfare during the Portuguese era can be seen throughout this area. It is really more useful to see them for the present and it is also our responsibility to preserve them for the future.

*This tour, which lasted about an hour and a half, allowed us to see many buildings with architectural value as well as many buildings that have hidden historical facts. We also saw tourist hotels designed to suit the present day as well as the Protestant Church. If we are able to explore the unique architectural features of these, it will be a lot of things that can be gained for our knowledge.
