Jamie Vardy : The Kind Of Life Everyone Would Applaud, But No One Would Want To Live.

The biggest upset in top tier football of the 21st century was Leicester City winning the Premier League in the 2015/16 season, which later became known as the "Leicester Fairy Tale". There were Wes Morgan, Kasper Schmeichel, N'Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez. But there was one guy who made it tick. Jamie Richard Vardy.

Jamie Vardy's story is not like the average story of five professional footballers in England. Knowing the cruelty and severity of that story will increase one's respect for the person. Jamie grew up in Sheffield. Little Jamie was a fan of his hometown club Sheffield Wednesday, the club that was playing in the first division of English football at that time. He joined the club and played in the ranks for about a decade. When Vardy was 16, Sheffield released him. They sold Vardy to a non league club called Stokesbridge Park Steels. Jamie, 20, was earning 30 pounds a week. While spending his first and only season at Steels, Vardy came to the attention of fifth division club Halifax Town coach Neil Aspin. Aspin was fascinated by Vardy at an exhibition and brought 23 year old Jamie to his club in the summer of 2010. In the first season, Vardy scored 26 goals in 37 matches in the league and became the Player of the Season at the Club, with the club winning the league trophy. After spending just one season at Halifax, third-tier club Fletwood Town signed Vardy. With his help, who has scored 31 goals in 36 league games, including two hat-tricks, Fleetwood won the league title this time around, and for the first time in their history, was promoted to the second division. By then Vardy's fame had spread to all the mid tier clubs in England. The owner of a championship club, Leicester City, had ambitions at the time, and he planned to make an effective signing after another on a low budget to rebuild the team.

The first choice on Leicester City's striker list was Jamie Vardy, who was brought to the club in the 2012/13 season by spending a non-league record fee of 1.7 million. Vardy jumped for two seasons in four Divisions between 2010-2012, coming to Leicester he was planning to settle down. The 2012/13 season at Vardy's new club went fairly well but the 2013/14 season started with new vigor. Leicester was playing for promotion in the first division, by winning the championship title and Vardy became the lifeblood of them. Vardy scored 16 goals in 37 matches. In the Premier League, their comeback season, Leicester struggled to survive with its teeth clenched, but without losing any of the last 11 matches of the season, it promised a bright future.

Leicester started the 2015/16 campaign with the promise in their mouths and the strength in their hearts. Jamie Vardy took the responsibility of destroying the record book. Jamie scored a goal in 11 consecutive matches in the league, a record in English first division football. Vardy was the league's Player of the Month for only five months in a row, breaking Gary Lineker's record of 20 goals for Leicester 31 years ago. Vardy won the Premier League in his second season in the First Division, qualifying Leicester for the first time in their history in the Champions League. Vardy was second in the league with 24 goals in individual, was the Premier League and FWA Player of the Season. After the Leicester fairy tale, teammates Kante, Riyad, Maguire left the club one by one. In an interview, Vardy said,

"Leicester wanted me when no one wanted to take me. I can't forget that it's my turn to go through Leicester."

Jamie cemented his place in England through performances that season. Vardy was an important member of the world cup team until his voluntary departure in 2018, having played alongside Harry in the World Cup semi-finals.

"I don't want to hinder the growth of youngsters. England may not need me anymore. If need be, call me. "

As time went on, Vardy's age did not stop, but over time he became sharper, and one season later, many thought, this is it. What else can a 30 year old player give now.

But Jamie continued to prove everyone wrong. In the 2019/20 season, as the oldest player in the history of English football, he won the Premier League Golden Boot, completed a 100 goal tally in the league, and recently broke Arsenal legend Ian Wright's 90+ goal record when he was 30+. Even in the current 2021/22 season, Jamie Vardy is the highest scorer in the Premier League among the British players.

The Englishman is still running at a high speed even after 34 years. Jamie won the FA Cup last year, and became the only player in the history of England to play in all the rounds of the FA Cup. This record may never be broken because Jamie Verdi is one. And only. Today, Jamie Vardy, sly like a fox, fast like a cheetah, the lion-hearted, enters his 35th.

Jamie Vardy - the man I admire due to his ability to fight for the ball regardless of age.

Vardy is unarguably one of the deadliest and finest finishers in the EPL.

More grease to his elbows
