Last night a premier league game between two of England's top clubs took place in Old Trafford. Between Manchester United and Chelsea. They are not the best two teams in the league now but they certainly are the top 2 in the modern premier league era. There was a Chelsea and Manchester United duopoly at a time. But times change. Over the years Manchester United have lost their grip. And Chelsea are staring staring down the barrel suffering consequences for a war in a faraway land that this club had nothing to do with. Very disgusting move by the British government at any given day. Anywho, that isn't the topic today. Considering Chelsea's unexpectedly risky future, they are playing well. Coach Thomas Tuchel has rallied his men as they still stand a chance to lose their players for disrupted negotiations. While Manchester United are constantly mocking themselves with their hilariously horrendous performance. Even the club legends are ashamed and mock the players. How the mighty has fallen.

Last night United lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation being De Gea, Dalot, Varane, Lindelof, Telles, McTominay, Matic, Elanga, Fernandes, Rashford and Ronaldo. And Chelsea in their typical 3-4-3 consisting of Mendy, Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Rudiger, James, Kante, Jorginho, Alonso, Mount, Havertz and Werner.

Chelsea started brighter of the two and that was expected. Manchester United are dropping below par performances week in week out. While Chelsea were doing alright. Not the best but just alright. So during the first half Manchester United were pinned in their own half of the pitch. Chelsea were having all of the ball. And they got many good chances too. But as we've seen all season, Chelsea have wasted so many of their chances that it just looks bad now. Kante had a chance where he was unmarked in the box but shoots straight to the keeper. Havertz targets the keeper again on a 1v1. And manages to shoot towards the keeper again on a header later on from a Reece James cross. Manchester United weren't pressing much, they were sitting back. Their midfield was exposed many times. Reece James was Chelsea's best player because Telles and Rashford both played bad. The right side was heavily used. Many times Marcos Alonso pushed towards the box as Havertz draws the defenders to him. This is how Chelsea scored their goal. While when Chelsea lost the ball they instantly pressed United, and took the ball back. Other than a few moments here and there United were out of action last night. But Chelsea could not capitalize. Their finishing is bad. 97 million euros Romelu Lukaku is a big money flop. They need reinforcements. But an interesting duck was broken in the game. Cristiano Ronaldo had never scored against Chelsea in a premier league game. Yesterday he did for the first time. After playing more than 750 minutes against the London outfit. It was Ronaldo's goal that kept United in the game. And other than that, United were barely a threat to Chelsea.

Not winning last night was entirely Chelsea's fault. They had it in their plate yet they throw it away. Being so much wasteful in front of goal nullifies all their attacking play in a way. So Thomas Tuchel has work to do. But Eric Ten Hag has even more work to do. He needs to change the whole Manchester United roster.
