The Munich Plane Crash, And Why Man U is A Slang [2/2]

West Brom fans first targeted Man United legend Duncan Edwards and made a nasty chant regarding him. Saying, "Duncan Edwards is manure, rotting in his grave, man you are manure — rotting in your grave." The word 'manure' in English means dung. The British do not use 'r' very often in the word's pronunciation, which is why their word is pronounced a lot like 'man you'. Two more rival fan bases of Manchester United, Liverpool and Leeds United had come forward to take part in the barbarism due to the ridicule showed by the West Brom fans. They made their own chant, "Man U Man U went on a plane, Man U Man U never came back again". Here they create the term (manure> man you> 'ManU') from the manure term used in the west brom chant. They make another chant like this, "Man U Never Intended Coming Home". If the word is formed with the first letter of each word of the chant, it makes an acronym which is 'MUNICH' - which represents the Munich tragedy. Yes they spent quite the calories to come up with such disturbing chants.

This is the pain of losing the members of the club in this way, the ridicule showed by the rivals on it again. The Red Devils can't wait to tell you how bad the time was. But if there was darkness on one side of the coin, there was a flash of light on the other side. In the irony of fate, United couldn't show their flare to the world by winning by European cup, you know why. But the champions of that season, Real Madrid dedicated their trophy to United. They even wanted to give the trophy to United entirely in full but United refused to take it. And yes they did not make the mistake of not thanking them for such behavior. They did show their gratitude. The Madrid legend Ferenc Puskas also expressed his interest in playing for Manchester United, but was unable to do so because he did not know English at the time. And this was some sort of a rule back then in the league.

Once again, a group of barbaric fans of Liverpool, the ultimate rivals of the Manchester United. When they are obsessed with filth in bad times of Manchester United. Their own manager Bill Shankly put the rivalry aside and offered Manchester United players from his team. Maybe that's why there is a saying in the game, "Rivals but not Enemies". The problem is with the individual. Where a group of insane fans ridicule Duncan Edwards's brutal death, their manager sets the perfect example. The beauty of football is here, evident, as clear as day.

Thus the events in Munich embody at the same time an example of extreme barbarism and extraordinary humanity. Leaving everything behind, these memories are now just a thing of the past. People today are civilized. That is why the history of this incident is still fresh in everyone's mind. Maybe that day the plane crashed and the Busby Babes never came back to the earth. But they still remain in the minds of all people. The nation has not forgotten you. The football world has not forgotten you. Generations will remember you. Wherever you are on the other side, be good, and blessed, the flowers of Manchester. [2/2]
