The Rise And Fall Of Eden Hazard

The silky Eden Hazard. Quite the guy. Quite the achiever. Was dubbed as the best player in the world at his peak. Debates of putting in the same podium as the two well known aliens in Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Quite a compliment. But know this, this man made proper justice to this compliment. Having the world at his feet was something so normal. But my man had his fall from grace, rather swiftly. And where he was and where he is now, is a sad story.

Hazard is the oldest of four brothers. Eden is in Madrid, Thorgan is dancing in Germany, Kylian is balling back in Belgium, and Ethan is growing in London. In Eden's words, ethan is the most talented of the four. But we'll just focus on Eden now. Hazard was scouted by Losc Lille scouts when he's playing for the system of a Belgian third division club. The scouts agreed with his family and the little boy was off to France. By the age of 17, he became a first team regular for Lille. But out of all those jaw dropping dribbling abilities and agile speed, along with the very useful week foot which literally makes him both footed, one caveat stood out. That is that he was lazy in training. He wasn't the ruthless guy who always targeted the very top. He this kid would shake off all of it. Fast forward two years later, a 19 year old Hazard ripping it apart in France, while Lille won the domestic double. Every big team wanted a piece of this "Hazard". And after a lot of speculation he finally joined Chelsea. Yes, because Chelsea had just won the champions league they had the upper hand when it came to pull power. Rewind a little. Last game for Hazard for Lille. A farewell party for him. The kid drank all night and didn't sleep. Next day facing Nancy, he bagged a Hattrick inside 30 minutes. His teammates go like "This fella's the real deal".

Right of the bat, Hazard was having tremendous start to life in the premier league. Pairing up with Juan Mata and Oscar, they formed the famous MAZACAR. That would go on and wreak havoc upon premier league teams during the early years of his life in the "Garden of Eden". He did win a Europa league title in his joining year at Chelsea. He would go on and put double digits in both goals and assists consistently every season. And after Juan Mata left the club for the red half of Manchester, he took the number 10 and now was truly looking like a world beater. Hazard would then go from strength to strength while glittering his Chelsea career. Mourinho's second stint saw his best goal scoring season ever, with 20 goals. But the next season was literally the start of Eden's fall from grace. A 30 game scoring drought, along with a controversial comment regarding an offer from PSG made life difficult. Add his coach and teammates pointing out his laziness in training and overall leanness, perfect storm. But this is Eden Hazard. He had these before. And came back like before, with a bang. Playing a very influential part both statistically and mentally in Chelsea's title triumph in Antonio Conte's first season. On top of that his performances carried out through the next couple of seasons too. With his last season in London blue being arguably his best season, where he contributed to a total 31 goals for Chelsea in the premier league. That's literally 50% of all Chelsea goals in that season's league. He won another Europa league too that season under Maurizio Sarri. Now, when the question comes about where the next step's going to be, it's a hard question. But when his childhood idol Zidane came knocking, things became easy. And when the transfer fee is about 150 million euros, it's inevitable. The beloved Hazard of the Garden of Eden departs London as what many will call a Chelsea legend.

Now, football, much like life in general, is incredibly unpredictable. You never know what's next in front of you. Hazard's transfer from Chelsea to the famous white of Real Madrid, it only meant it was Hazard's step from stardom to super stardom. But all things went south. Being overweight somehow, paired with injuries and surgeries and illness, Eden Hazard by the end of last season had already missed more games than he ever missed in his life, prior to Real Madrid. We all know the celebrated Belgian has a lot to offer to the Los Blancos, but these injuries don't seem to stop. It is seemingly bleak for Eden.

However, the Chelsea hierarchy is weighing the possibility of a homecoming for Eden Hazard. Regardless of what he is today, he will always be welcome to Stamford Bridge. The fans have always loved him, even today. Whether or not this transfer happens or not. The world have always wished for Eden to come back. For as joyous it is to watch this man dribble, the fun and beauty of football along with the permanent reputation of a man this talented, need some reincarnating.
