Going Volcanic. My Actifit Report Card: November 25 2022

But without the volcano 🌋

A small town, huddled between some...quite non-volcanic hills, burning firewood and who knows what else...the air in winter smells of it. Fine particles probably staying with us to make a little volcanic dust effect. Mixing with clouds to set the sky on fire.

I had a lot of walking today and I would say the air was fine to breathe, still.

Then again, it's early in the season and the stoves are not all on. Many are moving towards air conditioning. Cleaner. Sadly, to me, it's soon becoming more expensive and at the same time, more reliant on centralized powers.

In many aspects, we cannot substitute those, yet. But when it comes to survival, I prefer to be prepared to meet my most basic needs. Staying not frozen in winter among them.

Yes, I also do have more blankets than what you would normally find in a normal home.

Meanwhile, stories of refugees on the edge of the town begin spreading. The southern kind of refugees. The kind that anti-whataboutism cultists don't like. The kind that's criminalized for having the same needs as those subsidized. Sad division. It's all politics. Rotten ones.

Somewhere some sky is always on fire.
