Retiring The Veteran Basketball

The threads are beginning to show. It is a rough surface there on that outdoors playground. The ball has been performing awesomely and I love it but I think this is the time to honorably discharge it and keep it in reserve.

I recently got a new one and its time to be tested is nigh.

About the old one...it should go into something like a hall of fame.

And it had to go with some play, some games, some practice. A way to celebrate its retirement day.

I was content with this day. Focusing on something other than the usual stuff could be refreshing,

Peace!

M.

They should award you, and induct you into the hall of fame.

Especially if somebody famous had touched it. Sadly, that is not the case.

It's like a good pair of leather boots. There's something more attractive about it than a brand new shiny one in my eyes

Right. But I also want to preserve it that way and that's why I'm retiring it and perhaps using it on special occasions. Which I cannot quite define.
