Splinterlands Art Contest Week 354 | Mar Toren Seeker 🐟

Very good morning my dear readers of #Hive, happy Tuesday to all of you who are here reading me today, and I hope you are doing great; in my case it is a very rainy morning, but at the same time it is one of my favorite climates to sit for a while at the pc, with a good coffee and start writing. In this opportunity I wanted to bring you my most recent participation for the dynamics of this new week of my dear people of the #Splinterlands community, as in the previous dynamic I had chosen a forest character this seemed to me a good opportunity to vary and go towards the aquatic characters, that is why I decided to illustrate the letter of (Mar Toren Seeker); which are a group of submarine explorers that years ago were attacked by the Chaos Empire, being subdued by them, and for years have been dedicated to travel and explore the other neighboring kingdoms discreetly looking for possible alliances with which someday they can face the Chaos Empire and destroy them once and for all:

Muy buenos días mis queridos lectores y lectoras de #Hive, feliz martes para todos lo que se encuentran por aquí leyéndome el día de hoy, y espero que estén super bien; en mi caso está siendo una mañana fuertemente lluviosa, pero al mismo tiempo es de mis climas favoritos para sentarme un rato en la pc, con un buen café y ponerme a escribir. En esta oportunidad quise traerles mi más reciente participación para la dinámica de esta nueva semana de mi querida gente de la comunidad de #Splinterlands, como en la anterior dinámica había elegido un personaje de bosque esta me pareció una buena oportunidad para variar e irme hacia los personajes acuáticos, es por ello que me decidí por ilustrar la carta de (Mar Toren Seeker); los cuales son una grupo de exploradores submarinos que años atrás fuero atacados por el Impero del Caos, siendo sometidos por ellos, y durante años se han dedicado a recorrer y explorar los demás reinos vecinos buscando discretamente posibles alianzas con las cuales algún día puedan hacerle frente al Imperio del Caos y destruirlos de una vez por todas:

PROCESS / PROCESO

For the sketching process I created the character of (Mar Toren Seeker) with a semi full body style, that had a half hybrid appearance like scales, fish fins, and in this case my idea was that he was under the sea depths, with his great trident. I began the coloring process starting with the skin as I usually like to do, in this case with tones like peach, brown and red I was in charge of forming the base of shadows and lights of the skin while I was blurring lightly with my watercolor brush; in the case of the ears and the big fish fin on his back I used a range of watery blue tones that I already had in my color palette, in this case I tried to give these fins a slight shine so that they resemble the skin of a fish as best as possible.

Para el proceso de bocetado cree al personaje de (Mar Toren Seeker) con un estilo de cuerpo semi entero, que tuviese una apariencia medio hibrida como de escamas, aletas de pez, y en este caso mi idea fue que se encontrara bajo las profundidades marinas, con su gran tridente. Di inicio al proceso de coloreado partiendo por la piel como generalmente me gusta hacer, en este caso con tonos como el durazno, marrón y rojo me encargue de formar la base de sombras y luces de la piel mientras iba difuminando levemente con mi pincel de acuarela; en el caso de las orejas y la gran aleta de pez en su espalda ocupe una gama de tonos azules acuosos que ya tenia en mi paleta de colores, en este caso a estas aletas trate de darle unos brillos leves para que se asemejaran lo mejor posible a la piel de un pez.

On the skin of the arms I added details like marks or tattoos, and in the area of the legs I used blue, gray and white tones to create the lower part of his body with a fish tail shape, here I applied a texture a little rougher and a pattern like scales in the belly part; then in the waist area I created a kind of metallic belt to complement the character. For the creation of the hair I used a range of blue tones that I liked a lot, the idea was to form a long and smooth hairstyle towards the back of his head, the texture was quite easy because here I helped me a lot with my bristle brush and I left one or another strand of hair loose following the movement of the water, as well as with the same tones I created a bushy and bushy mustache that gives a touch of maturity to the character.

Sobre la piel de los brazos agregue detalles como marcas o tatuajes, y en la zona de las piernas ocupe tonos azules, grises y blancos para crear la parte baja de su cuerpo con forma de cola pez, aquí se aplique una textura un poco mas rugosa y un patrón como de escamas en la parte del vientre; luego en la zona de la cintura cree una especie de cinturón metálico que complementar al personaje. Para la creación del cabello utilice una gama de tonos azules que me gusto mucho, la idea qui era formar una peinado largo y liso hacia la parte de atrás de su cabeza, la textura fue bastante fácil ya que aquí me ayude mucho de mi pincel de cerdas y deje uno que otro mechón de pelo suelto siguiendo el movimiento del agua, así como también con los mismos tonos cree un poblado y frondoso bigote que la da un toque de madurez al personaje.

For the creation of the trident I used a yellowish color palette, the first thing was to take an intermediate yellow tone and create a vertical texture, then with the watercolor I took care of making even thinner vertical strokes and texturize a little the upper part of the trident where the 3 tips are. To set the whole scene as if it were a marine background, the first thing I did was to degrade a little the background with blues a little more saturated, then with a fine brush I took care of creating small waves of water moving around the (Sea Toren Seeker). I created small spots in the shape of small schools of fish just in the farthest part of the bottom, as well as small bubbles floating produced by the movement of the water and a small entrance of light from the surface.

Para la creación del tridente ocupe una paleta de colores bastante amarillenta, lo primero fue tomar un tono amarillo intermedio y crea una textura vertical, luego con el acuarela me encargue de hacer trazos verticales aun mas delgados y texturizar un poco la parte alta del tridente donde se encuentran las 3 puntas. Para ambientar todo el escenario como si se tratase de un fondo marino lo primero fue degradar un poco el fondo con azules un poco más saturados, luego con un pincel fino me ocupe de crea pequeñas ondas de agua moviéndose alrededor del (Mar Toren Seeker). Cree pequeñas manchas con forma de pequeños bancos de peces justo en lo más alejado del fondo, así como pequeñas burbujas flotando producidas por el movimiento del agua y una pequeña entrada de luz desde la superficie.
