My Actifit Report Card: December 21 2021

Hey Actifitters,

I had plenty of stuff to do in and around the house before I leave for my trip. But when a friend called to go on an easy hike, I of course dropped everything and jumped on the opportunity. So like I mentioned in my Exhaust report, the main activity for the day was a hike in Stoney Creek park.

We started near the lake and tried to stay close to shore.

The dogs were of course very excited to explore a new location, and the snow of course.

The water level was surprisingly low, lower than I've ever seen actually.

We had a few doubts about the best way to follow, and even went off-trail a few times. Left or right?...

Not as many as in our nearby woods, but they have some teepees there as well.

We finally got back to a familiar place, and were back on track.

It's a miracle, ducks can walk on water!

And we finished after nightfall as usual, that was a bit over 4 miles in the end. Nice easy winter hike.

After that, we had raclette for dinner, which means we ate way more calories than what we burned during the hike, but it's okay, it's what vacations are for, right?
