My Actifit Report Card: February 28 2024

Hey Actifitters,

Once again, what a difference a day can make with the weather in Michigan!! After the very warm temperatures the day before brought storms similar to the summer ones, we dropped more than 50 degrees in about 24 hours! From almost 75F (~24C) to below 25F (-4C)! It sounds more dramatic in Fahrenheit, but even in Celsius, almost 30 degrees! We're used to temperature swings here, we even have this saying that we can have all 4 seasons in the same week. But that's still a lot! Anyways, like I mentioned often, we much prefer cold weather, so it was better for our long walk of the day.

Even Kaia seemed confused with the temperature change. She blew half her winter coat yesterday and she needs it back now! Just kidding, but she did start shedding hair even more than usual.

Once again we started our walk later than we wanted, but it was still earlier than most days, with plenty of daylight left.

Once in the forest, Kaia didn't seem confused anymore, and just wanted to chase all the critters of course.

I'm insisting on this, but crazy to see ice on the ground when I was walking in shorts and t-shirt just the day before!

Kaia doesn't care, she saw movement in the distance!

No real sunset colors, but a beautiful cloudy sky when we looped around the forest edge for a couple Cubiverse vaults.

And as often, it got really dark when we walked back into the forest.

Apparently Kaia wasn't tired enough when we were about to leave the forest.

Good thing because I needed lots of steps. So for once we deviated a bit from our usual routes. Multiple reasons for that. First and most obvious one: we really enjoy our daily walks but it's always good to change it up a little. And secondly I needed lots of steps for both #Macfit and #poprzeczka competitions. And third, I needed a few more Cubiverse vaults to complete one more step in the monthly challenge. So we went on a long loop in the North West side of the extended neighborhood.

We finished as usual though, in the very quiet small streets around the house.

Mission accomplished! In the end, it's enough steps to make it to the next round of #Macfit playoffs, and to pass the bar in @poprzeczka! And Kaia tired for at least a few hours, perfect!
