Hive and Hive Engine Power Up Day July 2022

Hey Hivers,

It's time for Hive Power Up Day again! Well, in many places, it's already too late, but we have a few more hours here. So as usual, I'll use it as an opportunity for an update on my account, and my goals. Opposite from last month, let's start with a success: I am back in the PUM club this month. After a dumb rookie mistake while travelling in May, I was quite disappointed to miss it, so I made sure not to fail in June. Now let's see how the rest was.

HIVE

With the up-and-downs of the token price, it was a fairly good month. I was able to accumulate a little bit more liquid HIVE than usual. And so for HPUD, I increased my now usual amount 10.666, to 16.66HP. Still not a huge amount for many people, but the important thing is to stay consistent.

I also slightly increase the amount of HBD I sent to savings. 3.33HBD (half evil 🤘) is also quite small but again consistency is key, especially with this juicy 20% APR.

As for the account growth, it was quite steady again, with a slight acceleration at the end. Starting at 2429HP, I was able to add close to 80HP to reach about 2508HP. Much better than my 2HP daily target.

With today's Power UP, we are now at 2525HP! Look at this chart below, can it look any steadier than this? However, like I said, there is a very slight acceleration, and I hope I can keep this up in July.

SPORTS

As I mentioned multiple times, I was wondering what to do with SPORTS. I finally decided to keep the same strategy for now and stake everything I could. And it was a pretty good month! I was able to add about 485k to my stake, which is my best month since almost a year ago. That brings my total to about 8.75M. Still some doubts here, but I'll keep doing the same for now.

DUNK

Just as I was saying last month, this tribe has become very slow recently, due mostly to the end of the NBA season. There is no big international competition to fill the void, and that shows on the number of posts. Unfortunately, I am not a content creator, more of a consumer, and therefore there is not much I can do to help. Anyways, I am keeping my ~85k stake, hoping for better days.

ALIVE

On the other hand, the We Are Alive Tribe is much more exciting right now, with especially the #AliveAndThriving project. There are more and more contests and prizes around it, and that is fun to participate. Not to mention the great delegations you can win. Great boost for curation, and of course so you can support better other tribe members. This month I was able to add almost 900AP to my stake, reaching near 3400 ALIVE Power. And can you see the additional 3000AP delegations, all from the contests I was just talking about.

Targets

• Except for a few days, the lower HIVE price allows to accumulate a bit more. Also I finally resumed my running/cycling training, which means I can participate in the Exhaust community again. That's two of the reasons I think I can increase my daily target from 2HP to 2.5HP
• I guess I'm back to all in for SPORTS, at least for now. So I'd like to add another half a million in July. At that pace, the 10M stake is not so far out anymore!
• Like I was saying, DUNK is in stand by mode for now. So no target.
• ALIVE is one of my focus for now. So let's increase my 150AP weekly target to 200AP. It will be challenging, but I think it's doable.
• Last month, I was saying I started diversifying a bit with a few drip tokens. Unfortunately, I didn't increase that yet, except for the drips of course. It's still a plan for me, but I am not sure when I will be able to add funds there.
