Hive and Hive Engine Power Up Day May 2022

Hey Hivers,

After another successful Power Up Month (fourth in a row this year, following the last one in November 2021), it is of course time for Power Up Day, my 18th participation in a row! That's a lot of shiny badges.

HIVE

Just like last month, another small power up, just enough to get my badge, with 10.666HP. The main reason is still the same: to participate in PUM, I cannot accumulate a lot of liquid Hive. Hence the tiny amount left for PUD. Anyways, this is done:

Also like last month, I wanted to push a small amount of HBD to Savings to trigger the interest claim. But I realized I still needed to wait a few hours for that claim. So, I will do that later tonight, or tomorrow. The PUM is also responsible for the small amount of HBD I can accumulate, but I need to try and change that. The 20% interest is just too tempting. Hopefully I can do better next month.

As to the account growth, no big change compared to the previous month: slow and steady. Starting at 2263, I just finished the month at 2333HP. With a 70HP increase, this is pretty much similar to last month, considering we had one less day, and still above the 2HP daily increase I am targeting. I kind of like the linearity this month. Except for a couple small bumps, it looks almost linear to me.

And finally, with today's Power Up, that's 2343HP! Like I said, steady account growth, and following my targets.

SPORTS

Just like I hinted to last month, I am starting to feel a bit discouraged by the constant price decrease for the SPORTS token. But for now, and probably in May too, I am still following my original strategy to stake everything I can. So this month, that was another 425k added to my stake, for a total around 7.9M. This is lower than my 500k monthly target, but still in line with previous months. Like I said, maybe one more month, and I might start staking only the automatic staked part. Or maybe I will start delegating it to get other tokens, especially the ones with dividends. But like any plan, it can change.

DUNK

No changes here as well. Disappointing price for the token, but I still stake as much as I can. This month was a bit slower though, with about 8000 added to my stake. But I believe there are some rewards coming at the end of the NBA season, from the fun daily predictions contest. So, June might be a big month, we'll see about May first. Now with almost 79k, my stake is definitely high in the richlist.

ALIVE

I started adding this token in my report just last month. I still try my best to participate in the We Are Alive Tribe and the #AliveAndThriving project. Great community, with several new features this month, including promoting a post using ALIVE token. My stake is growing: after adding over 600AP this month, it is now getting close to 1800 ALIVE. It's a little better than the growth I targeted.

Targets

• Same 2HP daily increase target for HIVE. It's been a reachable but challenging target for some time, so I will keep it. But I also want to start saving more HBD, so hopefully this month I do better on that front.
• 8M SPORTS should b reached very soon. With my 500k monthly target, I would hope to reach about 8.4M by end of May. And like I said, then we will see...
• It slowed down a bit this month, but I am still hoping to add 10k DUNK in May. That would bring my stake just under 90k. Then of course, 100k would be the symbolic target.
• I am targeting 150AP weekly increase for my ALIVE Power (a significant increase from my previous 100AP target). Not easy but I believe this is doable, and that would bring my stake around 2400 ALIVE at the end of May.
