Evening Run

I just finished a 6.858km running that lasted about 0hh:33mm:51ss !

Another very short night left me without energy today, so I had no motivation for any activity. The temperature still in the mid-80s (about 29 degrees Celsius) at 9pm did not help. If it wasn't for the fact I am really not sure how busy my day will be tomorrow, I would have skipped the run today. Anyways, I finally went for a short-ish run, at a slow-ish pace. That was more than enough for today.

During our afternoon walk with the dogs, I thought the bug situation had improved in the woods, so I thought I could start my run in the forest. But I quickly realized it was a mistake when I got attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes! So, after just about 1 mile, I went back to the asphalt, and stayed there. Surprisingly I didn't see any deer today, but several rabbits and lots of bats when it started to get dark. I like how they fly, this is very recognizable.

There's also something that made me wonder. One lady was zooming through the neighborhood on an electric bike. She passed by me at least half a dozen times and I never saw her pedal once. I understand the appeal of the electric motor helping but if all the motion is created by the motor, I am not sure I understand the point. Anyways, she seemed to have fun, so good for her.

Like I said, tomorrow is a big question mark for now, so we'll see if I'm able to run or bike. If not, Thursday should work.
